Despite having four little ones, Kylie Kelce is still unsure if she has the “mom gene.”

The Not Gonna Lie podcast host, 33, joined Ilona, Olivia and Adrianna Maher on the recent episode of their House of Maher podcast to talk about everything from tall girl dating advice to raising her four daughters. The mom of four, who shares her girls with husband Jason Kelce, shared that she doesn’t know if she has the “mom gene,” despite having four little ones and being called Mom by her college teammates.

“I mean, I still am not sure that I have it, to be honest,” she admitted. “I tell everybody I’m winging it.”

“I’ve always known that I wanted to have like four kids, so I guess to some degree I was like ‘Yeah,’ ” she continued. “Before motherhood, I was like ‘Give me all the babies.’ Now that I’m in motherhood, I’m like, ‘Am I doing this right?’ Every day.”

Kelce and the retired NFL star, 37, who announced his retirement from the NFL in March 2024, are the proud parents of newborn Finnley “Finn” Anne, Bennett Llewellyn, 2, Elliotte Ray, 4, and Wyatt Elizabeth, 5.

On the Thursday, Jan. 23 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kelce described raising children as the “most selfless” and “all-encompassing” thing someone will do in their life.

“At any point in the day, you do have to always be concerned about the tiny humans you’re responsible for, but I think there is a misconception that it wipes out the rest of you and makes you solely mom,” the mom of four shared.

“Whereas what we need to do is tack it on to the end of the resume and keep the rest of the s— that also defines us as who we are as people because we’re still us,” she added. “Just because we made a human being or we are a mother to a tiny human doesn’t mean that we are only mom.”

Now, with four kids under 5, the podcaster has her hands full. With summer approaching, the mom of four shared what she plans to do during the warmer months and how she’ll manage four little ones.

During the Thursday, June 19, episode of the Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kelce revealed that her older daughters, Elliotte Ray and Wyatt Elizabeth, would be going to camp for the first time. Since they are still young, she said that it’s only going to be for a couple of hours and not for the full week; however, the ultimate goal is to simply get them out of the house.

“My kids are officially done with their school year, so I thought I’d get honest about summer break as a parent. Everybody knows that when school lets out, that means we have all day, every day at home with each other,” she began. “This summer is the first summer where the girls are actually going to do some camps. And when I say camps, I mean, they’re 5 and 4 guys. It’s like a three- to four-day situation.”

“I think it’s maximum three hours,” she continued. “It’s just to get them out somewhere else, anywhere else, and moving around.”

Kelce always knew she wanted to be a mom of four. In an exclusive clip shared with PEOPLE ahead of an episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast in April, Kelce joined host Amanda Hirsch to discuss everything from parenting to welcoming her fourth baby. She opened up about the exact moment she realized she wanted a fourth child.

“I’ve always said that I wanted four kids, [and] room for one pleasant surprise. If we had 5 kids, I’d be like that’s enough, like we really need to stop,’ ” she explained. “The one thing I will say is there was this moment when our third was probably like 6 months old, where I was like maybe this is good?”

“And then when she hit about a year and some change, I … had this moment of ‘Oh, I forgot one’ because I kept thinking like I forgot the baby,” she continued. “And then I’m like ’S— no. All my toddlers are here.’ I had three kids.”

“The switch that happened was when our youngest really started acting like a toddler, and then my brain started saying, ‘You’re forgetting the baby,’ ” she said, noting that this was the moment she knew she wanted to have a fourth baby. “I did not approach our third as if it were going to be my last, and so I have this mental block now where I think that one more baby is right.”
