Lainey Wilson and Boyfriend Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges Are Engaged

Lainey Wilson is adding a new title to her already impressive resume — fiancée.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Feb. 12, the country superstar announced that she and boyfriend Devlin “Duck” Hodges will soon be walking down the aisle.

“4x4xU forever ❤️” Wilson, 32, captioned the series of romantic photos and videos, referring to the track “4x4xU” off her latest album, Whirlwind.

The first image showed the future husband and wife holding hands while standing in front of a picturesque building with large windows.

A close-up of the intimate scene showed five picture frames with photos of the couple lying in front of the door, surrounded by candles and roses.

The post included two black-and-white photos of the couple sharing a kiss and another of Hodges holding a small cowboy hat while Wilson proudly put her ring on display.

To close off the announcement, Wilson shared a short clip of herself walking down the stairs and saying “boo” as she held up her hand in front of the camera.

In the comment section, many of their celebrity friends extended their well wishes, including Kaitlin Butts, who wrote, “SHE’S WALKIN WITH A LIMP YALL. Congrats you two 🥲🫶.”

The fellow country music star is one of many musicians who will be joining Wilson on her upcoming Whirlwind World Tour. The tour will kick off in March, making several stops throughout Europe, before ending in the U.S. in November.

While Wilson didn’t specify the day she and Hodges got engaged, her announcement comes days after she performed at the 2025 Grammys. She was part of a celebrity-filled performance honoring Quincy Jones and the wildfires in Los Angeles.

At the event, she was nominated for best country album for her project Whirlwind. The award ultimately went to Beyoncé for her album COWBOY CARTER. It was the second year in a row Wilson was nominated in the category, as she previously won the award at the 2024 ceremony for Bell Bottom Country.

While Wilson and Hodges stepped out publicly for the first time at the ACM Awards in May 2023, the two actually began dating in 2021.

“I said, ‘We gonna see if you’re in it for the right reasons.’ Turns out, he is,” Wilson told PEOPLE in June 2023 when asked why the two waited to go public.

In an interview with Bunnie Xo for CMT last month, Wilson revealed her hopes for the two to tie the knot.
