Lily Collins is sharing a sweet glimpse of her and husband Charlie McDowell’s daughter Tove.
McDowell, 41, shared a sweet photo of Collins, 35, pushing a stroller on the street via his Instagram Story on Monday, February 3, adding two red heart emojis. Collins reposted the image and wrote, “Utter bliss.”
Collins and McDowell shared the news on Friday, January 31, that they welcomed daughter Tove via surrogate. In the social media post, the couple shared a photo of the newborn in a bassinet.
“Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell,” Collins wrote via Instagram. “Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again …”
After sharing the news, McDowell took to the comments section of the upload to thank fans for their well-wishes and defend their “path to having a baby.”
“Thank you for all the kind messages and love. We are overjoyed and very grateful,” McDowell wrote on Friday. “In regards to the unkind messages about surrogacy and our path to having a baby — it’s OK to not be an expert on surrogacy.”
He continued, “It’s OK to not know why someone might need a surrogate to have a child. It’s OK to not know the motivations of a surrogate regardless of what you assume. And it’s OK to spend less time spewing hateful words into the world, especially in regards to a beautiful baby girl who has brought a lot of love into people’s lives. That’s all for now because she just pooped and I need to change her diaper.”
Lily, who’s the daughter of Phil Collins and Jill Tavelman, also received support from her family. (Phil also shares Joely and Simon with Andrea Bertorelli and sons Nic and Matthew with Orianne Cevey.)

“Welcome to the world, Tove,” Nic, 23, wrote via his Instagram Story on Friday. “[I’m] already so proud to be your uncle. Congratulations @lilyjcollins & @charliemcdowell. Love you, guys.”
Lily and Charlie, the son of Mary Steenburgen and Malcolm McDowell, have been together since 2019. The twosome tied the knot in 2021.
“I’ve never want to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife. On September, 4 2021 we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell,” Lily wrote via Instagram with a photo from the wedding, while Charlie gushed in his own message posted to his account, “I married the most generous, thoughtful, and beautiful person I’ve ever known. I love you @lilyjcollins.”
