Alex Rodriguez and longtime friend Lindsay Shookus had a reunion on the red carpet!
Jennifer Lopez’s former fiancé and Ben Affleck’s ex posed side-by-side at the premiere of Alex vs. A-Rod on Monday, Nov. 3 in New York.
Shookus, 45, is an executive producer of the HBO documentary series that portrays the dynamics of the former baseball star’s public and private lives.
In the red carpet snaps, Rodriguez, 50, smiled alongside Shookus and his girlfriend, fitness trainer Jaclyn Cordeiro.
In advance of the screening, the MLB on Fox analyst also took time to walk the carpet with his mother, Lourdes Navarro, and his daughters Natasha, 20, and Ella, 17, whom he shares with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis. The former couple wed in 2002 and divorced in 2008.
In a new interview with PEOPLE, Rodriguez shares that he relishes the relationship he now has with Scurtis, where they vacation together with their significant others.
Rodriguez and Shookus, a former producer at Saturday Night Live, have long been linked — but a rep for the retired Yankees star has previously said that their relationship is platonic.
Shookus — who dated Affleck off-and-on from 2017 to 2019 — and Rodriguez, who ended his engagement to Affleck’s ex-wife Lopez in 2021, were seen sitting next to each other at Shookus’ birthday party in the Hamptons in 2021.
Rodriguez’s rep told PEOPLE at the time that the two “have been friends for 15 years. There is nothing there at all.”
