Lindsey Vonn is back at home after her devastating crash at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

The Olympian, 41, shared in an Instagram post on Sunday, March 1, that she is taking "some time" for herself as she continues to recover from a complex tibia fracture sustained during the incident, which occurred at the Milan Cortina Games on Feb. 8.

“Home sweet home. Feels good to sleep in my own bed…,” Vonn wrote, sharing photos of herself hugging her dog Chance while sitting with her bandaged leg across a couch.

Vonn went on to reflect on the “hard reality” of being back home, confronting her injuries and the absence of her other dog, Leo, who died just one day after her horrific crash.

“Wheeling through the front door without Leo greeting me like always was a very hard reality. A reality I had to face along with many other hard realities that lay in front of me as I move forward…,” she continued.

Vonn said in her latest post that she is now focused “on therapy and getting healthy,” admitting that “it’s going to be a hard and painful journey, but I am putting all of my energy into it, like I always do.”

The athlete added, “I’m going to take some time for myself. I’ll give you updates when I can, but right now my focus is on taking care of myself," resharing the post on her Instagram Stories and writing, "Finally home," alongside a red love heart emoji.
