Love Is Blind’s Lauren and Cameron Are Expecting Their 1st Baby After Trying to Conceive for 4 Years

Beloved OG Love is Blind couple Lauren Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton are going to be parents.

“We were counting down the day till we could test because we did IVF,” Cameron told People in an interview published on Monday, May 26, announcing that his wife, Lauren, is pregnant with their first child.

“We knew, okay, this is the day that we’re going to do the test. Of course, we’re going in for a blood test later that day, but we couldn’t wait any longer.” he continued. “We did the classic test and we both went into the bathroom to look at the Clearblue test and it was face down. We flipped it over. We saw the word pregnant, and that was just a huge moment to actually see the word pregnant on a test.”

The pair fell in love sight unseen on the inaugural season of the hit Netflix reality dating show, tying the knot in November 2018. According to Lauren, they had been trying to conceive for four years before finding out she’s pregnant.

“Seeing the word pregnant, it was amazing,” she told People. “We just looked at each other. I fell to my knees and cried. It’s been a long time coming. We’ve literally been trying to get pregnant for four years.”

The pair also shared the happy news in a dramatized video meant to mimic a movie trailer shared via Instagram, detailing their life together, including Lauren’s IVF treatments, and introducing the next chapter of their lives.

“In a world where Love is Blind, two strangers took a leap of faith. They built a home. A life. A legacy. But one question remained,” the voice said, while a video of the couple played.

The dramatized voice then stopped as the couple could be seen in their kitchen.

“Should we just tell them?” Cameron asks his wife.

“Nah, let’s draw it out,” Lauren responds. “It’s good for engagement.”

The dramatic voice then returned, saying, “They waited. They prayed. They poked themselves repeatedly. After years of hope, love finds a new form. This fall, a new chapter begins.”

According to the couple’s Instagram announcement, they’re expecting their addition to arrive sometime in the fall.

Lauren told People her husband has been “so great” and “so patient” as they’ve navigated IVF treatments and years of fertility struggles.

“I’m so blessed to have a partner like him,” he said, adding that she’s been craving all things “cheese,” including cheese puffs, macaroni and cheese and shredded cheese, now that she’s in her second trimester and those pesky first trimester food aversions.

“I am looking forward to, first off, just holding the baby and hearing that first cry, but also just reliving my childhood through the baby, doing all the fun stuff,” Lauren continued. “Disney on Ice, the zoo. Being a big kid again and seeing it through their eyes is going to be amazing.”
