The Real Housewives of New York City star Luann de Lesseps is weighing in on her fellow alum Bethenny Frankel’s decision to move to Florida.
“Like everybody else?” the reality television star, 59, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, May 1, of her reaction to Frankel packing her bags and heading to The Sunshine State.
“Snowbirds,” she added. “It’s a little early. I mean, it’s just getting [to be] Spring.”
Frankely, 54, announced her big move on April 17 via an Instagram video.
“I am moving to Florida for personal and professional reasons,” she explained at the time. “Something has arisen that made this the best and healthiest for myself and my daughter. We will maintain residences in the Hamptons and New York City because we love New York. This will be our primary and permanent residence.”

An insider close to the situation exclusively told Us Weekly that Frankel’s daughter, Bryn Hoppy, 14, was one of the driving forces behind the decision to move down south. “Frankel shares Bryn with her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy.)
“Bryn is Bethenny’s top priority, and the decision to move to Florida was all about supporting her,” the source exclusively explained to Us at the time. “The move reflects Bryn’s academic and athletic goals, and was made with her physical and emotional wellbeing front and center.”
Frankel had previously hinted that she was thinking of moving, sharing a photo featuring a stack of U-Haul boxes.
“Life is good albeit with some unexpected stressful surprises … Moments with good friends, foods, laughs, and as always a little chaos,” the entrepreneur captioned an Instagram post at the time. “So many exciting changes coming soon… but you nosy B’s will just have to wait and see.”
Like Frankel, de Lesseps has moved on from her The Real Housewives of New York hay-days, though that doesn’t mean she doesn’t miss her time on the show with her fellow costars.
“It’s so hard to reproduce something like RHONY,” she told Us. “When we did it and loved it, we had a lot of fun. There was so much debauchery. So many fabulous trips.”
She continued, “So it’s hard to recreate that. And I do miss the girls, sure. I would like for us to go on an Ultimate Girls Trip everywhere. The RHONY OGs Everywhere. Below Deck. Let’s go. The OGs on Below Deck. So I feel like that’s something I would like to do, but go back to filming the Real Housewives again? That’s another maybe.”
