Lucy Hale has joined TikTok!
The actress, who famously played Aria Montgomery in the TV series Pretty Little Liars, went viral with her first post on the social media platform after leaning into her old character.
The series followed four teenage girls in the fictional town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania, who are stalked and blackmailed by an anonymous villain who calls themselves “A.”
Hale, 37, filmed herself sipping an iced coffee while looking at her phone, with the words, “Easy on the espresso. You’re already nervous enough, A,” written across the screen.

She then suspiciously looked at her iced coffee but continued to drink it in the clip, which was posted on Thursday, Sept. 24.
“Can’t quit you,” Hale captioned the video, which has racked up more than 770,000 likes and more than 3.3 million views.
“I need you guys to get back together!!!!!!! I miss PLL!” one fan commented. “Omg Lucy joins the trend too, wonder if Tyler [Blackburn] and Ashley [Benson] will join in!” another wrote. “I was about to say she looks like Aria but she is Aria 😂😂,” a third added.
Hale’s bio for her new TikTok account reads, “Probably gonna ask you your [star] sign.”

She’s not the only one playfully reprising her Pretty Little Liars role. Shay Mitchell, who played Emily Fields in the series, also posted a similar clip on her Instagram, leaving fans wondering whether a reunion is on the horizon.
Mitchell, 39, was seen picking up her phone in a London pub, with similar writing across the video that said, “Pints before noon? London looks good on you, S. I’m still watching. — A.”
She captioned the clip, also posted on Thursday, “Officially Fall now. You know what that means.”

The successful show debuted in 2010 and ran until 2017. In June 2025, Hale marked its 15th anniversary with a heartfelt Instagram post where she said that playing Aria changed her life.
“Happy 15 years to PLL 🤫 the nostalgia!! Some of these photos are so low quality but it really was a different time lol,” she said.
“This experience changed my life and I will always be grateful to everyone involved. And to all of you, who made this one incredible ride,” Hale continued. “Thank you for keeping this alive for so many years and I know it’ll be one that people keep discovering. I want to hear all the crazy A theories you had in the comments 💋.”

Hale previously opened up about how she suffered from acne while filming the show in her early twenties.
“There were tears,” she told Glamour in 2022. “There were days when I didn’t want to be in front of a camera.”

Hale said the crew used lighting techniques to help cover her breakouts.
“I remember vividly one day we were filming Pretty Little Liars — and the show’s called Pretty Little Liars, so they wanted us to look a certain way — we had to specially light my skin to reflect in a different way so you wouldn’t see my acne,” she said. “I remember being just so embarrassed and mortified.”
Hale said she has since become “obsessed” with skincare, believing it stemmed from her experience navigating acne.
