Macaulay Culkin is loving his return to the ‘90s!
The Home Alone star, 44, attended the much-discussed Backstreet Boys: Into the Millennium Las Vegas show with his longtime partner, Brenda Song, and a group of friends. And the child star couldn’t help but rave about the boy band’s larger than life performance.
On Monday, July 28, Culkin posted an Instagram photo of himself and Song, 37, clad in the perfect all-white Millennium looks alongside the boy band, which includes members Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough.
“Mack Street’s Back, ALRIGHT!!!” Culkin quipped in the caption. “Hey y’all, remember the ‘90s? Just went to the @backstreetboys at @thespere this Saturday and Brenda lost her s—. (She literally cried).”
Culkin admitted to being “mildly skeptical” about the BSB show, adding, “But boy howdy did they tear the place down. I was so very impressed.”
The Pizza Underground performer also joked about the boy band’s onstage stamina, writing, “Five minutes into pilates I’m toast. I’m 45 but these men, who are my age, GO at it HARD for 90 minutes. Nothing is wasted; they use every part of the buffalo. Top-to-bottom, head-to-toe, floor-to-ceiling, soup-to-nuts, beginning-to-end, it’s incredible. They got it. They got it more than ever.”
He concluded his post by thanking the group “for making Brenda cry,” jokingly adding, “I try every night and nothing seems to work.”
The Backstreet Boys responded to Culkin’s post from their official account, writing via Instagram Stories, “So glad you both enjoyed the show! We saw @brendasong tearin it up in the suite!! You go girl!”
Song reposted the message, adding, “I’m freaking out!”
Culkin and Song went with a group to the Las Vegas Sphere as a part of actress Billie Lourd’s 33rd birthday celebrations. The group enjoyed a Disney-themed birthday bash for Lourd last week.
“What a great party. And what a great excuse to get Brenda to dress up as a ‘90s raver girl,” Culkin captioned photos of the couple wearing Mickey and Minnie Mouse ears on July 20. “I appreciated the party almost as much as I appreciated Brenda’s fit.”
