Maggie Grace is sharing her thoughts on a potential Lost reboot.
The actress, 41, told PEOPLE at the Los Angeles premiere of Suits LA on Feb. 20 that she is just as keen as the fans to see a revival of the hit series — and she has some ideas for the concept.
“I think the fan community never felt like they really got the answer they were looking for at the end,” she says of the series’ conclusion. “So I think it would be really interesting to sort of take some elements, untangle them and run with them in a different direction. I think there’s a leaping-off point further back. That I would be interested in seeing.”
She continues: “If they ever were to [launch a reboot], I would think of it more like a creative remix. Not like a direct extension, not a picking up where they left off, but more here are things we think we know about this world. Or do we?”
Lost, which aired from 2004 to 2010, told the story of the survivors of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 after it crashed on a remote tropical island and their attempts to survive and find a way home. Through flashbacks, viewers learned about each of the passenger’s lives before the tragedy. The survivors eventually discovered they were not alone on the island, and that “The Others” — as they called themselves — were not welcoming to outsiders.
While there are currently no official plans for a reboot, many of the show’s stars and crew members have expressed interest in participating if the project ever happened. In the meantime, Grace says she would love to see the whole cast gather together for a reunion to catch up and reminisce.
“I wish ABC would do something, I don’t know, for the 25th [anniversary] maybe” she tells PEOPLE. “I really wish.”

“I would just love to see everyone because for me it was like college,” Grace continues. “I ran into Harold [Perrineau] recently and he was showing me pictures of his gorgeous daughters and I got to FaceTime with his wonderful wife and it was just wild seeing time pass. I saw Malcolm [David Kelley], who was a kid then and as a grown-up now, and that doesn’t seem possible. I think selfishly I would love to see everyone all grown up.”
Grace previously told PEOPLE that having to bid goodbye to Lost was “the worst heartbreak” of her career, which was just taking off at the time.
“I was devastated,” she said of her character Shannon Rutherford getting killed off six episodes into season 2, abruptly ending her time on the show. “I thought they were gonna take her a little further.”
In her latest role in Suits LA, Grace guest stars as pro bono criminal defense lawyer Amanda Stevens, who rents a space in the fictional Black/Lane law firm office. Sparks soon begin to fly between Amanda and attorney Ted Black (Stephen Amell).
