But given the bond Jake, 44, and his nieces share, it’s no surprise that the whole family cheered him on during his big night.

“They are the best people I know,” Jake complimented Ramona and Gloria (who inspired him to write his 2023 children’s book The Secret Society of Aunts and Uncles) on The Kelly Clarkson show last fall. “My sister and brother-in-law have raised such incredible girls. They are magical. I don’t know where they came from but they’re the best and I love them so much.”

And while Jake has gushed over his nieces, Peter has spoken highly of his wife—including revealing the secret rule that’s kept their nearly 16 years of marriage afloat.

“Tell the truth,” the Looming Tower star told E! News in December 2023. “It’s pretty simple. Isn’t that the secret to any friendship or relationship? Even if it’s a nice lie to prop someone up or help them avoid what they’re trying to avoid, you’re not living in reality. And that’s the only place to live in.”
