Mama June’s daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and her ex-husband, Josh Efird, are finalizing the terms of their divorce in Us Weekly’s exclusive clip of the latest episode of Mama June: Family Crisis.
“I did want to talk today because I don’t know [and] I never really had to do this before,” Lauryn, 25, tells Josh, 28, as they meet up to discuss custody and property arrangements. “This is not the way I initially planned six years ago. There’s things that we need to decide on because we do need to make this divorce final.”
Lauryn says she met with an attorney about going forward with an uncontested divorce, meaning that both she and Josh would need to “agree” not to fight about custody or splitting assets.
“The only thing we really have is the kids,” Lauryn explains. “I just thought I’d get 50 percent [and] you’ll get 50 percent. Other than the kids, the only thing is the house. Honestly, if you want to stay there, that’s fine with me. I can start looking for places.”

Josh, meanwhile, claims he “doesn’t really want” sole ownership of the house, telling Lauryn that she could keep it on her own.
“That’s just all the memories and everything else,” Josh adds. “I’m not prepared to sit there and stare at that s***.”
Us Weekly confirmed in August 2024 that Lauryn filed for divorce after six years of marriage, claiming that their relationship was “irretrievably broken.” Per court documents viewed by Us, Lauryn and Josh reached a full agreement about custody, visitation, child support, division of property and alimony.
Lauryn and Josh share four kids: Ella, 7, Bentley, 4, and twins Sylus and Stella, both 3.
Before Lauryn and Josh reached a settlement, he appeared shocked by her decision to end their marriage.
“I thought these conversations would come up, maybe not so quickly,” he tells the cameras in the Family Crisis clip. “I also had faith in that Pumpkin might have made a different decision or a change of heart, but I guess not. The only thing I’m looking forward to now is raising the kids.”

Ahead of the new season of Family Crisis, Lauryn told Us that she and Josh are “cordial” with one another since finalizing their divorce.
“I wouldn’t say that we’re friends,” she exclusively told Us in May. “I mean, I consider him a friend, but things are still a little rocky. We’re still getting past all that stuff, but we have 50/50 custody, so he gets ’em one week and then I get ’em the other week. We both communicate [about] school, all that stuff. We are cordial when it comes to the kids.”
Lauryn is the sister of Jessica Shannon and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, who fans initially met on Toddlers & Tiaras. June, 48, was also the mother of the late Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, who died in 2023 at the age of 29 after battling cancer.
