A young man has pleaded guilty to killing another man, a father of two, whom he struck with his car when he was allegedly watching videos on TikTok while driving.
Norman Case was fatally hit in his car by Ismaeel Malik in Kelvedon, Essex, on Oct. 22, 2024, according to the Essex Police.
At around 9:30 a.m. local time, emergency services responded to reports of a crash, and Case, 58, died at the scene.

Malik, 22, was allegedly watching TikTok videos when he hit the back of Case’s vehicle, the BBC reported, citing the Essex Police.
The 22-year-old had a history of driving while watching TikTok videos, police claimed to the outlet.
Malik was arrested at the time on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He pleaded guilty in court on Thursday, March 28, and he is now set to be sentenced on Wednesday, April 29.
Case had dropped off his two children at school on the same morning when he was killed in the car crash.
“After dropping Fraser and Kate at the school bus stop, they would never have imagined not seeing their father alive again,” Case's wife, Sarah, said in a statement, per the Essex Police. “Mr. Malik caused Norman's death, and all our lives will never be the same again.”
“Norm was the life and soul of our family, now there is a massive void that will never be filled. Even everyday things like eating dinner together or watching sport on the TV, with the constant 'Norm' commentary, have changed forever,” Sarah continued.

Case worked in business development at the audio-visual equipment supplier Handy AV, according to his LinkedIn page.
He also played for Maldon Cricket Club’s third team, his wife Sarah said.
A GoFundMe was set up by B-Tech Golf Day to support Case’s family after his death.

The Chelmsford Crown Court did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Saturday, March 28.
