Maren Morris is on a humble quest to explore her sexuality.
The singer-songwriter, who came out as bisexual in 2024 following her divorce from Ryan Hurd, shared that her experience dating women “has been really positive.” However, the instant female connection often poses some challenges, as the “My Church” singer has found that the line between friendship and romantic connection can sometimes be hard to decipher.
“I have confusion sometimes because I can connect with a woman, any woman within like two minutes,” she explained on the May 9 episode of the U Up? podcast. “We’ll be talking about our childhoods. We’ll be talking about the bully when we were 13. We will get into it so quickly. With a guy, that would take like years to get into that trauma.”
“Sometimes I just love a woman and we’re friends,” Maren, 35, continued. “Then she’s giving me a vibe of, like, she’s gonna kiss me, and I feel like we’re just friends, but I really connect with you on this emotionally deep level.”
