Martha Stewart Reveals 1 New Career Title She Wants to ‘Add’ to Her Resume

NEED TO KNOW

  • Martha Stewart revealed on Instagram that she wants to become a “mogul” in one unexpected industry
  • The lifestyle icon admitted that she wants to add the title to her resume
  • Her latest goal comes two months after launching her first-ever skincare line, Elm Biosciences

Is there seriously anything Martha Stewart can’t do?

The lifestyle mogul, 84, has undoubtedly solidified her legend status in the home and entertainment world by evolving and expanding her iconic brand over the past five decades, but now she’s seeking dominance in a new space: beauty.

In a recent Instagram post, Stewart — who’s widely regarded as the “first influencer” long before the rise of social media — shared a video of herself “warming up” to score success in the skincare scene in the wake of her newly-released line, Elm Biosciences.

“Warming up to add skincare mogul to my resume,” Stewart wrote over a comedic clip of herself stretching in a monochromatic, velour zip-up set as seen on her Instagram Reels posted on Thursday, Nov. 6.

In the background, the 2010 hit “Teach Me How to Dougie” by Cali Swag District played as she performed basic stretches, like toe-touches and arm circles, in attempt to prepare herself for her next, big life goal.

“What can I say? When you have a great idea (and @shopify), you make @elmbiosciences happen,” she captioned the post.

In September, Stewart launched Elm Biosciences.

The drop came one month after the entrepreneur announced that she and board-certified dermatologist Dr. Dhaval Bhanusali have teamed up for the creation of their joint skincare line, which seeks to address aging skin from a clinical perspective.

The new skincare brand consists of “a dual-pathway system designed to treat the internal and external drivers of aging, simplifying daily beauty routines while delivering powerful, clinically-tested results,” according to a press release.

After it’s launch, Stewart appeared on Today with Jenna & Friends to explain how “graceful aging” is at the core of Elm Biosciences, which came to life after five years of research and development, and backing from 350 dermatologist advisors.

“This is real, science-based stuff that we’re creating,” Stewart said on the show. “I don’t call it ‘anti-aging,’ I call it ‘graceful aging’,” she made clear, noting that she’s been using it for the past five years to experiment with the product before its wide release.

“It’s really paid off,” Stewart touted.

But why skincare for the multi-faceted businesswoman who’s not only entered — but conquered — the home and lifestyle spaces, authored 100 books, co-hosted TV shows, launched a clothing line and so much more.

“I’m very interested in aging gracefully. I continue to work every day, seven days a week,” she shared. “But many of us are going to be over the age of 65 … We have to help everybody not only look good, but be good.”

“I want to take away a lot of that confusion,” Stewart concluded.
