The holiday season is in full swing, and McDonald’s is making spirits bright by bringing back a fan-favorite seasonal item.

On Nov. 11, the fast food chain confirmed that it will bring back the Holiday Pie in restaurants nationwide starting Friday, Nov. 14.

The handheld dessert treat consists of a creamy custard stuffed between a flaky, doughy crust that’s glazed in sugar and topped with mini rainbow sprinkles.

“Not to be biased, but it just might be the greatest gift you can get for yourself or your friends and family,” the fast food giant joked on its menu spotter.

The Holiday Pie originally appeared on menus in 1999 and became an instant holiday classic for fans of the fast food chain. It’s a festive twist on the iconic baked apple pie that remains on McDonald’s menus year-round.

McDonald’s also announced the return of another cult-favorite menu item — The McRib.

The fast food chain revealed that the sandwich will be available in select locations starting on Nov. 17 while supplies last. Cities that will be graced with the saucy goodness are Miami, St. Louis, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Cleveland, Seattle and Atlanta.

The McRib originally appeared on menus in 1981 and has made its way on and off menus throughout the years, most recently returning for a limited run in December 2024.
