The Sistas cast have had their lives on display for nine seasons!

The hit BET series, which is created, written and directed by Tyler Perry, features a group of four friends — played by KJ Smith, Ebony Obsidian, Mignon and Novi Brown — as they navigate their careers, changing friendships and complicated relationships.

While Sistas offers no shortage of ups and downs among the characters, in reality, many of the show’s stars have established relationships and families off-screen. Smith, who plays Andrea “Andi” Barnes, is married to her former Sistas costar Skyh Black, and they announced that they were expecting their first child together in May 2025.

In addition to the four friends, Sistas has featured several other actors since it premiered in October 2019. As the show has grown over the years, many of the cast members have expanded their own families.

Here’s everything to know about the children of the Sistas cast members.

KJ Smith’s Baby on the Way

Smith, who plays Andi, is pregnant with her first child! The actress fell in love with her Sistas costar Black in 2021 and the couple married two years later.

In May 2025, Smith and Black revealed that she was pregnant with their first child. The following month, Smith showed off her bump at the 2025 BET Awards and told PEOPLE that they were expecting a girl.

After learning she was pregnant, Smith and Skyh moved to Atlanta for their future family.

“We always toyed with the idea of moving back to the South, just to be closer to our families,” Black told PEOPLE in August 2025. “So, when she got pregnant, we said, ‘Okay, look, we’re going to need help.’ And it was very important for our kids to grow up around family, because everybody’s on the East Coast. We were the only ones on the West Coast. So, that was our biggest decision.”

Devale Ellis’ 4 Children

Devale Ellis, who plays Zac Taylor, has four children with his wife, Khadeen Ellis. The former NFL athlete met his wife while they were both attending Hofstra University over 20 years ago and they have been married since 2010.

Together, the couple have four sons: Jackson Carter (born in 2011), Kairo Shakur (born in 2016), Kaz Hendrix (born in 2017) and Dakota Marley (born in 2021). Devale frequently showcases all four of his sons on his social media and talks about how he prioritizes being a father.

“My life’s journey stopped being about me the day God blessed me with the vision of fatherhood,” he captioned a July 30, 2025, Instagram video with his sons. “I want to show my sons a different type of strength. A strength rooted in self awareness and purpose beyond what the world can provide.”

Devale has also shown how all of his sons have grown over the years. His oldest son, Jack, has followed in his footsteps and plays competitive football, alongside track and basketball.

Meanwhile, Kairo has also taken an interest in football and basketball, while Kaz has also recently dipped his toe into his father’s former sport. Their youngest son, Dakota, initially had a mild speech delay, but his consistent speech therapy allowed him to make significant progress, Khadeen explained in a 2024 video.

Anthony Dalton’s Son

Anthony Dalton, who plays Calvin Rodney, shares one son, Tripp, with his wife, Dana Dalton. The couple welcomed their child in July 2021 and have shared several updates about their son’s milestones since.

In August 2024, Anthony posted a picture with Dana and Tripp on his first day of school and admitted that he was a “wreck” dropping off the little one. The family of three enjoy going on cupcake dates, celebrating holidays together and playing video games.

Chris Warren’s 2 Kids and Stepdaughter

Chris Warren, who plays Hayden Moss, has two children and one stepchild with his wife, Layla Warren.

Prior to her relationship with Chris, Layla had a daughter named Melody in 2009. Layla celebrated Melody’s 14th birthday in a 2023 Instagram post and described her daughter as a “Straight A student, top of her class, a gifted artist, a wonderful musician, a loyal friend, a kind big sister.”

Chris frequently speaks about his love for being a father and told PEOPLE in January 2025 that fatherhood is his “favorite thing in the world.”

“I love working on Sistas, but the thing I love about it the most is you do a season in two weeks and I’m right back to my family and I get to just be with them almost the entire year,” he shared. “My favorite thing in the world is being a dad.”

Kevin Walton’s Son

Kevin Walton, who plays Aaron Carter, has at least one child, Zen Mason Walton (born in 2011), whom he shares with Lila Nikole.

Walton celebrated Zen’s 14th birthday in January 2025 by sharing several photos of the two of them over the years and expressing how “proud” he is.

“It is a fascinating thing to witness a human develop into themselves, even more fascinating to be directly involved in the process of development through love, guidance, nurturing, providing, and in living an example,” he wrote. “You are strong, independent, loving, comical, witty, absurd, confident, shy, talented, and a leader. May you foster all of these traits into an incredible life my boy.”

Trinity Whiteside’s 3 Children

Trinity Whiteside, who plays Preston Horace, is a doting father to three children with his wife, Nikkia Whiteside. The couple share daughter Makaiya and sons Nikolas and Skye.

Trinity frequently shares Instagram posts celebrating all of his children. In August, he posted a birthday tribute to Makaiya and wrote that she was “full of love and imagination.”

“I think about the amazing young woman that you’ve become and I couldn’t be happier,” he captioned a photo of the two of them. “You’re beautiful, successful, hardworking, strong and most importantly, God fearing. I am so proud of you and can’t wait to see what blessings God has in store for you next.”

In May 2025, Trinity gushed about his older son after Nik graduated from Appalachian State University. He captioned a post from the special day, “I’m so proud watching you accomplish your goals and dreams … I knew that a higher education would only be the beginning for the many great things you are destined for.”

As for his youngest child, Trinity previously explained that they named him Skye because “that is literally the limit when it comes to you.”

“From maintaining a 4.0 gpa in the classroom to being a standout athlete, you excel in life,” he wrote in a May 2024 Instagram post. “I couldn’t be more proud of the young man that you are and I’m even more excited about the man you will become. To say that you are truly special would be an understatement.”
