Nine Perfect Strangers is back for another thrilling stay at Tranquillum House.
Based on Liane Moriarty’s 2018 novel of the same name, the miniseries premiered on Hulu in August 2021. The first season, which starred Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, Manny Jacinto and Regina Hall, followed a group of guests attending a 10-day retreat at a wellness resort in California.
However, everything was not quite what it seemed, with guests treated to a wide and strange array of experiences to help guide them through their personal troubles.
Now, Nine Perfect Strangers season 2, which premiered on May 21, will follow a new set of characters when they check into a different location of the retreat in Zauberwald in the Alps. Still, Masha’s mission remains the same — to help cleanse the minds of her guests, no matter what.
Outside of the series, Kidman has been married to Australian country star Keith Urban for nearly 20 years, with the couple sharing two daughters. Meanwhile, Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding married his wife, Liv Lo Golding, in 2016 and welcomed their second daughter in 2023. The rest of the ensemble is also in long-term relationships.

The following year, in April 2023, Bartlett told Deadline that he drew inspiration from aspects of his relationship for his character in The Last of Us. At the time, he explained, “Our relationship was a bit of a reference point for what [Nick Offerman] and I were doing in the episode.”
“Because I was saying this to Nick, that we are both lucky to be in relationships where we found a partner that we have an incredible bond with, and we feel this deep love,” he added. “So, we were familiar with that, and we could bring that experience to what we were doing in episode three.”
