Meet the Real-Life Loves of the “Ted Lasso” Season 4 Cast

Several Ted Lasso stars have fallen in love off the pitch.

Stars Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift have all returned for season 4 of the Apple TV show, which premiered on Aug. 5. The latest installment follows Ted (Sudeikis) as he returns to Richmond to coach a second-division women’s soccer team.

Meanwhile, a handful of stars haven’t been confirmed to return — including Phil Dunster as Jamie Tartt, Nick Mohammed as Nathan Shelley and Toheeb Jimoh as Sam Obisanya — though they may still make guest appearances. This puts the love triangle between Jamie, Roy and Keeley — which resulted in Keeley choosing herself during the season 3 finale — in question.

In real life, several Ted Lasso stars are in serious relationships, including Keeley’s Temple and Rebecca’s Waddingham. The latter made her red carpet debut with her boyfriend, Nick Beresford-Cleary, in June 2026.

Jason Sudeikis

Sudeikis leads Ted Lasso as the show’s titular character.

Previously, Sudeikis was married to writer and director Kay Cannon. They tied the knot in 2004 before separating in 2008. They finalized their divorce in 2010.

Sudeikis also shares two children, Otis and Daisy, with his ex Olivia Wilde. The actors started dating in 2011 and got engaged shortly after the holidays in 2012.

The couple “dissolved the relationship towards the beginning of the [COVID-19] pandemic,” Wilde told Vanity Fair in September 2022.

Hannah Waddingham and Nick Beresford-Cleary

Waddingham is dating Beresford-Cleary, a consultant spine surgeon. 

In March, the couple made their first public appearance at the Cheltenham Festival. They made their red carpet debut three months later in June at the the Variety Power of Women: London event. Beresford-Cleary also accompanied Waddingham to Wimbledon and the Ted Lasso season 4 premiere in Los Angeles in July 2026.

Previously, Waddingham dated Italian businessman Gianluca Cugnetto. They welcomed their daughter, Kitty, in 2014, and split in October 2023.

“I didn’t really have the space mentally or emotionally for that. I’ve hunkered down and focused on my girl and me,” Waddingham told Women’s Health UK in May 2026 of her capacity for a new relationship following her split with Cugnetto.

She continued, “[But] now I’m ready to stick my head above the parapet a bit more … and it’s really lovely too, obviously, my relationship. But the best thing about it is, firstly, being happy and strong in myself.”

Juno Temple and Michal Szymanski

Temple started making public appearances with her partner, Michal Szymanski, in 2022. In July 2026, Temple confirmed that they met on the set of Ted Lasso.

While Temple and Szymanski, who are both actors, are private about their relationship, they’ve attended a number of red carpets side by side.

Brendan Hunt and Shannon Nelson

Hunt is married to Shannon Nelson. After announcing their engagement in June 2023, the pair wed in an October 2025 ceremony in which Hunt’s Ted Lasso costar Sudeikis was the officiant.

“The bride was stunning, while the groom cleaned up reasonably well,” Hunt wrote about the celebration on Instagram. “It was all quite lovely, and best of all our little boys got to see it.”

The pair share two sons, Sean and Archie.

Jeremy Swift and Mary Roscoe

Swift and Mary Roscoe have been married since 1992. Roscoe also played Swift’s character’s wife in Ted Lasso.

“We kind of forgot about it, but a few weeks later Bill [Lawrence] came up to me and asked if I’d worked with my wife before, and if so, did we get along,” Swift told Vulture in August 2021. “I was trying to play it cool, like, ‘Oh yeah, whatever, catch you later.’ But inside I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is amazing!’ ”

The couple share two children — daughter Stacey and son Alfie — whom they welcomed via adoption, per The Times.
