Meghan Markle Enjoys Low-Key Weekend of Floral Arranging Amid Royal Family Drama

Despite lingering royal family drama on both sides of the pond, Meghan Markle is spending the weekend doing what she loves.

“Happy Sunday, friends 💐,” Meghan, 43, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, May 18, sharing a video of herself arranging a bouquet of pink flowers.

The Duchess of Sussex, dressed casually in a beige sweater, set her upload to LL Cool J’s “Doin’ It” duet with Leshaun.

Meghan recently revealed in her With Love, Meghan docuseries that she had a hidden passion for flowers.

“I learned a lot of this when I was pregnant with my son, Archie,” she said in an episode of the Netflix series that premiered in March, referring to her 6-year-old son. “My girlfriends threw a baby shower for me, and one of the things we did was learn flower arranging. I started to find this really calming and meditative, so when I have a little bit of time at the end of the day, I do this. I have a glass of wine and just enjoy it.”

In addition to Prince Archie, Meghan and husband Prince Harry live with daughter Princess Lilibet, 3, in Montecito, California. The family’s move — they left the U.K. and stepped down from their senior working royal duties in 2020 — sparked a rift with Harry’s father, King Charles III, and his brother, Prince William.

“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” Harry, 40, told the BBC earlier in May after losing his latest court battle to restore his government-funded security. “There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family.”

While Harry stressed that he has “forgiven” his relatives, neither Charles, 76, nor William, 42, has publicly addressed the estrangement.

Meghan Markle is happily celebrating Mother’s Day 2025 with her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — even if that means she’s more of a climbing gym than a human being. “Happy Mother’s Day! Cheers to juggling it all with joy,” Meghan, 43, gushed via Instagram on Sunday, May 11, sharing a new picture […]

“The whole institution is concerned that if Charles reaches out, any conversations and information would be splashed across the American press,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month. “Harry did what his mother [Princess Diana] did and it’s impossible to come back into the fold after that. So, everyone around Charles isn’t keen on him reaching out to Harry. They understand it’s a father-son relationship, but the family is so complicated, and issues of the monarchy often supersede personal relationships.”

A second insider, meanwhile, claimed to Us that William and wife Princess Kate Middleton also won’t give Harry and his wife “the time of day.”

“William is more hurt than anything else,” the second source told Us. “The first step is to stop talking to the public about private matters. They don’t see a path forward until Harry can stay quiet.”
