Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son, Prince Archie, is gearing up for a very special visitor — the Tooth Fairy.
“Archie is losing his first tooth, and I just hope I’m back in time for it,” Meghan, 43, said during her Wednesday, April 23, appearance at the Time100 Summit in New York City. “That’s all that matters.”
Meghan and her husband, Harry, live in Montecito, California, with son Archie, 5, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 3. (They relocated stateside in 2020 after stepping down from their duties as senior working royals.)
“I could very comfortably say I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” Meghan gushed on Wednesday of her family and busy professional life. “Of all the things that have happened in my life, I never would have imagined that getting here, at this point, I feel just so happy and grateful. I really do.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their first baby, a son named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in May 2019. “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019,” the pair wrote on Instagram. “Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs […]
According to the Duchess of Sussex, her goal is to “just have fun.”
“My love language is taking care of people,” Meghan added. “It actually energizes you.”
In addition to philanthropy, the former actress has also recently found success through her “Confessions of a Female Founder” podcast, As Ever lifestyle brand and With Love, Meghan docuseries. On the Netflix show, Meghan documented her passions for cooking, gardening and DIY crafts such as “flower sprinkles.”
“Take flower sprinkles as an analogy,” Meghan added during the summit. “[And] think about what you could do in your everyday life that can just have a little splash of magic on unexpected moments.”
With Love, already renewed for a second season, also includes several nods to Archie and Lili. (Harry, 40, even makes a cameo in the finale.)
“It’s so funny you keep saying ‘Markle.’ You know, it’s Sussex now,” she told guest Mindy Kaling in one episode. “You have kids and you go, ‘I share my name with my children.’ I didn’t know how meaningful it would be to me but it just means too much to go, ‘This is our family name. Our little family now.’”
Meghan and Harry were given the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex, respectively, by Queen Elizabeth III when they got married in 2018. (The queen, who died in 2022, was Harry’s paternal grandmother and Lili’s namesake.)
While Meghan and Harry have been busy with work since their regal duties, Archie has encouraged them to prioritize self-care, too.
In a wide-ranging interview with People published last month, Meghan revealed that Archie told her, “Mama, don’t work too hard” after he woke up.
“It was the sweetest thing,” she recalled to the outlet.
