Meghan Markle Shares Throwback Girl Scout Pics in Honor of New Podcast: ‘Still Selling Cookies’

Meghan Markle had an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, celebrated the launch of her new podcast on Tuesday, April 8, by sharing adorable throwback snaps via Instagram from her days as a Girl Scout. “Being an entrepreneur can start young. (By the way, all these years later and I’m still selling cookies!) 🍪,” she captioned pics of her younger self.

She added, “Tune in for the premiere episode of ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’ featuring my dear friend, @whitney, now streaming wherever you get your podcasts! @lemonadamedia.”

In the post’s first photo, Meghan smiled for the camera in her Girl Scout uniform while holding a box of cookies. The upload featured more pics of the youngster and her fellow troop members selling cookies outside of a grocery store, complete with a makeshift booth decorated with balloons.

Meghan Markle is making a return to the podcast space. The Duchess of Sussex’s podcast, “Confessions of a Female Founder,” with Lemonada Media will launch on April 8, per a press release obtained by Us Weekly. (Deadline was the first to report the news on Thursday, March 13.) The eight-part series, which drops episodes weekly, […]

Meghan’s comment about “still selling cookies” was a nod to her new lifestyle brand, As Ever, which sells a variety of food products, including a shortbread cookie mix. The company’s entire product line sold out in under an hour during its launch on Wednesday, April 2.

In addition to As Ever, Meghan announced her comeback to the podcast world with a teaser of her new show last month. “I’m Meghan and this is ‘Confessions of a Female Founder,’ a show where I chat with female entrepreneurs and friends about the sleepless nights, the lessons learned, and the laser focus that got them to where they are today,” she shared in the clip.

Meghan previously hosted the Spotify series “Archetypes” in 2022. The first episode of “Confessions of a Female Founder” dropped on Tuesday, during which Meghan opened up about her “scary” experience with postpartum preeclampsia. (She shares her son, Prince Archie, 5, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, 3, with her husband, Prince Harry.)

“It’s so rare and so scary,” Meghan said. “You’re still trying to juggle all of these things, and the world doesn’t know what’s happening quietly.”

Robin L Marshall/FilmMagic Meghan Markle is recalling a sweet moment with her and husband Prince Harry’s 5-year-old son Archie. Meghan, 43, shared in an interview with People published on Monday, March 3, that Archie woke up one morning and sleepily told her, “Mama, don’t work too hard.” Days later, Meghan reflected on the moment and […]

Speaking about adjusting to life as a new mom, Meghan added, “And in the quiet, you’re still trying to show up for people. And in the quiet, you’re still just trying to show up mostly for your children. But those things are huge medical scares.”

Along with her podcast and brand, Meghan recently celebrated the debut of her Netflix cooking series, With Love, Meghan, which was quickly renewed for a second season. “If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2!” she wrote via Instagram on March 7. “Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!”

In the five years since Meghan and her husband, 40, stepped down from their senior royal duties in 2020, the couple have continued to spark criticism.

“Meghan is embarking on a number of business ventures as an entrepreneur and working mom. The constant scrutiny is motivated by clickbait and systems that make sport out of attacking women,” Meredith Maines, CCO for the couple, exclusively shared in an Us Weekly cover story last month. “I hope that readers pause and ask why publications are so interested in clicks at the expense of a founder, a woman, a mom, who is creating and building. As Meghan deploys her brand, show and podcast, we’re looking forward to partnering with outlets that want to understand the business story and the power of brand building by a founder.”
