Met Gala 2025: Megan Thee Stallion, Halle Bailey and More Stars Break Rules to Take Selfies Inside

POV: When celebrities are at the 2025 Met Gala. 

Though it’s known that the use of phones at the prestigious fashion event is highly discouraged, many guests at this year’s party—themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” with a “Tailored for You” dress code—couldn’t help but take a few photos on their personal devices once inside New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art May 5. Take Megan Thee Stallion, who snuck a selfie with a list of celebs including Angel Reese and Doechii during dinner inside the event.

Megan’s “Hottie Cam”—as she called it on Instagram—captured her, the WNBA star and “DENIAL IS A RIVER” artist trying the caviar cornbread, lobster rolls and more hors d’oeuvres. In another clip from her video, Megan, 30, quips,  “We not supposed to have our phones,” as Tracee Ellis Ross jokingly tells her to “put it away.”
