MGK had a surprising response to a fan question.
During a Sunday, Aug. 10 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the artist born Colson Baker and formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly — had an unexpected reply to a fan question about whether or not he dated Sydney Sweeney.
“MGK, Kyle P. wants to know if there’s any truth to the rumor you and Sydney Sweeney were more than just friends?” host Andy Cohen asked the MGK, 35.
“Kyle P., shut up, dude,” he replied, while shaking his head.
The pair are longtime pals and have also crossed paths professionally before. Both appeared in 2019’s Big Time Adolescence, and, more recently, Sweeney, 27, starred in Downfalls High, MGK’s 2021 directorial debut.
In May, following her split from Jonathan Davino, Sweeney partied with Patrick Schwarzenegger and MGK at the grand opening of the Palm Tree Beach Club in Las Vegas.
On her Instagram Stories, the Anyone But You star shared a sweet group photo, where she could be seen posing in between the actors at the event, which marked the second of a three-day opening weekend celebration.
In the photo, Sweeney could be seen smiling with her hands on her hips, as MGK held up a peace sign and Schwarzenegger, 31, smiled.
Per snaps shared on X, Sweeney was also seen chatting one-on-one with MGK.
Later, the stars — sans the “vampire diaries” musician — were seen chatting with other guests at the Vegas bash, sporting in their denim-on-denim looks and white undershirts.
Both Schwarzenegger and Sweeney are known for their work in The White Lotus’ third and first seasons, respectively.
MGK had a long-time on-and-off romance with Megan Fox, with whom he shares a 4-month-old daughter, Saga.
The pair —who got engaged in January 2022 — called it quits at the end of November, not long after announcing their baby on the way. The “cliché” artist is also dad to daughter Casie, 16, with his ex Emma Cannon.
In the most recent issue of PEOPLE, MGK said that being a father “recharges your will-to-live battery and recertifies your you-have-a-purpose-here sticker.”
He also revealed that both of his daughters “love” his latest album Lost Americana, which was released on Friday, Aug. 8.
“Well, one can’t use words yet, but the smiles that I get whenever I play it would indicate that there’s a fondness of it,” said MGK.
