Michael B. Jordan is just like the rest of us when it comes to taking photos.
The actor, 39, joined in on the fun when Bustle posted an Instagram carousel of red-carpet photos of him striking the same pose, with his hands placed one atop the other, like a waiter.
Over the photos was a screenshot of an X post about Jordan that read, “He loves that ‘y’all ready to order yet’ server pose.”
Bustle played along, captioning the post, “Well, Michael B. Jordan can take my order anytime. 😌.”
Jordan commented on the observation with a laughing emoji and an emoji of a man covering his face.
Kevin Hart came to Jordan’s defense, commending, “🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hardest thing in the world is finding something to do with your hands on the carpet 😂😂😂😂😂.”
“Let actors be introverts, ok?! 🤣😍,” DeWanda Wise commented.

Being an actor is something Jordan has always strived for.
When PEOPLE spoke with Carl Gonzalez, Jordan’s former drama teacher at Newark Arts High School in New Jersey, in March, he noted that Jordan has always approached acting with unusual focus.
“Our conversations were always about how he could get better,” said Gonzalez. “He’d ask me, ‘How can I do better at an audition? Do you have any audition material for me?’ He was a tremendous worker — very empathetic, very compassionate and beyond his years.”
Jordan is coming off a busy awards season that culminated in his winning the Academy Award for Best Actor at the 2026 Oscars for his performance as twin brothers Smoke and Stack in Sinners.
While speaking with reporters in the press room following his acceptance speech, he reflected on his acting journey, stating that he maintains focus on the work and the idea that “it will figure itself out.”

“At the same time, what’s for you is for you,” he added. “And you can’t take anybody’s blessings away from anybody else. So I’m just walking my path, man, just trying to be locked in. I always encourage other actors and other artists, no matter the medium, to try to keep that in mind and be honest and true, just dream big, man. Dream big and be kind of honest. I’m really big on pouring into the universe. That’s how I try to live, you know what I’m saying?”
Jordan’s next ventures include work both on- and off-screen.

In May, Prime Video officially ordered Fourth Wing to series during Amazon’s Upfront presentation in New York City. Jordan serves as an executive producer.
Earlier this week, the first trailer dropped for the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, which Jordan is directing and starring in. The film is set to hit theaters in March 2027.
