Michael Bublé and Reba McEntire Choose One Contestant Each for The Voice Finale — See Who They Picked

  • The Canadian Crooner chose Jazz McKenzie and the country singer chose Aubrey Nicole
  • America had the opportunity to vote one more member from their team into the finale

Michael Bublé and Reba McEntire are in the hot seat.

Monday, Dec. 1 marked the beginning of the Playoffs on The Voice — and the coaches each chose a contestant from their team to move on to the finale.

Beginning with Team Bublé, each remaining member put on a performance in hopes of being chosen for the finale. Then at the end of the episode, the Canadian crooner, 50, called them all back to the stage.

“This is just the beginning of the trip for y’all. Once these cameras shut off, I’m still your guy. This isn’t the end guys — it’s just the beginning,” he told Jazz McKenzie, Max Chambers, Rob Cole and Trinity.

Then, Bublé announced McKenzie as his finalist.

“Jazz’s voice has range, soul, depth. I want her to be my three-peat. She is the perfect person to represent Team Bublé. It’s called The Voice and she is the greatest voice that I’ve ever had on here,” he said.

After the announcement, host Carson Daly reminded viewers that it’s not over for the “Home” singer’s team quite yet. This season, America has the opportunity to vote one more contestant from his team through to the finale.

When the attention turned over to McEntire, 70 — and her team of Aubrey Nicole, Ryan Mitchell, Aaron Nichols and Peyton Kyle — she admitted she didn’t know what she was going to do.

“I know you’ve made connections, you’ve taken advice from world-famous mentors. The learning experience is incredible. I love you all with all my heart,” the “Fancy” singer said to her team.

Ultimately, McEntire chose Nicole as her finalist — and the contestant burst into tears.

“I chose Aubrey because she has a way of portraying a lot of emotion. That’s what music is supposed to be about. I definitely think Aubrey has a shot to win the whole competition,” she said.

Nicole added, “I’m so grateful for Reba. I can’t believe I’m going to the live finale.”

Before the episode was cover, Daly announced that voting was open from 10 p.m. ET until 7 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Dec. 2 on The Voice app and NBC.com/VoiceVote.

Next week, coaches Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg will choose their finalists. The Voice airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
