Another day, another edgy fashion slay for Miley Cyrus!
The “Flowers” singer, 32, debuted a choppy new hairstyle while rocking a leather-heavy look on the 2025 Grammys red carpet on Sunday, Feb. 2.
Cyrus hit the star-studded carpet to show off the brand-new ‘do shortly after nabbing the award for best country duo/group performance for “II Most Wanted,” her song with Beyoncé, during the ceremony’s pre-show. (It marked her third-ever Grammy.)
For her stylish victory lap ahead of the main show at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, Cyrus hit the red carpet in a backless gown with an edgy twist. The floor-length, black leather dress — a custom Saint Laurent creation, per the singer — featured a diamond-shaped, ab-revealing cutout and a crisscross halter neck.
Alongside the sleek gown, Cyrus debuted a new hime cut, adding choppy, short side layers to her long, straight hair. For color, she kept her chunky, Y2K-inspired highlights.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer matched the look and new ‘do with simple black heels and gold bangles, which paired perfectly with the subtle gold hardware on the back of her black gown. The chunky bracelets, along with her earrings, were Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co.
At last year’s Grammys, Cyrus made a splash on and off of the red carpet. Not only did she have tons of outfit changes, but she also took home her very first Grammy Awards. Her song “Flowers” won best pop solo performance and song of the year — her first two trophies at the awards show.
She also made a whopping five outfit changes throughout the night, and performed her Grammy-winning song on the big stage.
At the 2024 ceremony, the Disney alum stepped onto the red carpet wearing a barely there gold metal mesh dress with safety pin accents, matching metal panties and Christian Louboutin for Maison Margiela gold heels.
When she got inside, the musician changed into her second look: a beaded and embroidered halterneck jumpsuit by Tom Ford, which she wore on stage to accept her first award.
Then, to perform “Flowers,” Cyrus wore a dress from Bob Mackie’s archives. The Tina Turner-esque dress was covered in fringe, perfect to show off her dance moves. Months later, Cyrus even purchased the dress because it was so special to her.

“This dress represents more than a performance — it’s a celebration of the relationship between music, artistry and glamour,” Cyrus said, per a press release. “This performance was a pivotal moment in my life and to have Bob Mackie’s support in securing it means the world to me.”
“The Climb” performer then changed into a lace bustier and pants with fringe detail and a feathery jacket, and finished off the look with strappy, black heels and dangly earrings that matched the fringe on her outfit — but that wasn’t all!
She then took the stage one last time in a chocolate brown, sequin number that was custom-made by Gucci. The one-shoulder piece had a slit cut all the way up to her hip, which Cyrus later referenced while joking onstage that she maybe “forgot” her underwear,
The star took to Instagram the next day, though, to clarify that she did, in fact, have underwear on, and they were also custom-made by Gucci. “PS I was only kidding…. I had on matching custom @gucci panties🤎 thank you for the head to toe chocolate custom couture @sabatods xoxo you didn’t forget a thing.”
