One mom received a message that brought her to tears, and it arrived in the most unexpected way.
In January, the mother, who goes by the username @caldo.de.les on TikTok, opened an early-morning email with a subject line that simply read: “Isaac” — her seventh-grade son’s name.
“I was like, ‘Oh God, what’s going on?’ ” she recalled in the video.
Inside, however, was not bad news. It was a story that left her heart full.
The email came from the mother of one of Isaac’s classmates, a boy with special needs. She explained that since returning from Christmas break, Isaac had started talking to her son — something no one else had done before.
“She said my son asked him, ‘What do you like to watch? What do you like to do in your free time?’ ” the user shared. “I guess with his speech, you couldn’t really understand, but my son understood that he liked Pokémon.”

On a whim, Isaac drew a small picture of Pikachu. “Since then, the classmate’s mom said her son’s been carrying it around, adding that he’ll randomly point at it and say, ‘Friend.’ ”
That was the end of the email.
"She said she just wanted to let me know that that's your child, and that it means a lot to them," she continued.
"You never know what your kids are doing, or aren't doing, but I have always told my son, if you can be one thing, if you can be one thing in this life, be nice," she added.
