Morgan Wallen has turned his viral moment into merch..
Shortly after the country star, 31, made headlines for leaving Saturday Night Live before the episode had wrapped on Saturday, March 29, he shared a photo on his Instagram Stories of a private jet with the text “Get me to God’s country” written in white over it.
On Tuesday, April 1, Wallen launched a line of “Get me to God’s country” merch, which features a T-shirt and hat emblazoned with the phrase he shared on Instagram. It’s unclear whether it’s referring solely to his post or is a nod to a future song or lyric.
PEOPLE has reached out to Wallen’s rep for comment.
The “Cowgirls” singer’s new merch comes just days after he appeared as the musical guest on the late-night comedy sketch series.
At the end of the show, Wallen whispered something into host Mikey Madison’s ear before abruptly stepping off stage and breezing past the camera in front of him. Madison, meanwhile, remained on stage chatting with the rest of the cast as the credits rolled, staying true to SNL host and musical guest tradition.
The “Just in Case” artist’s sudden and speedy departure, coupled with the photo he shared on his Instagram Stories shortly after the episode concluded — a picture of a private jet with “Get me to God’s country” written over it — led some to believe that the gesture was pointed.
A source close to Wallen, however, insisted that the star meant no disrespect.
On March 30, the day after the SNL episode aired, the source explained to Variety that Wallen enjoyed his time on the show, and did not mean to offend with his quick exit or subsequent post.
The seemingly abrupt departure, the insider told the outlet, was the same way the “Last Night” singer had entered and exited the New York City studio all week during both SNL rehearsal and camera blocking. The source also added that Wallen did not put much thought into how his actions would look to others, insisting once again that there is no drama behind his actions.
At the time, reps for Wallen did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

During the March 29 episode, which marked his second career appearance at Studio 8H, Wallen sang the titular track of his soon-to-be-released album, I’m the Problem, plus another song from the upcoming project, “Just in Case.”
Wallen’s latest SNL gig came five years after his controversial debut on the comedy show.
Ultimately appearing on the show in December 2020, Wallen was originally slated to perform two months prior, but was disinvited after he was photographed partying maskless and kissing multiple women in Alabama — behavior that broke COVID-19 protocols in place at the time.
