Gabby Karvoski welcomed her baby girl into the world, and soon after, she invited her family to come and meet the new member. She didn’t expect what her nephew had in store for them.
“From my hospital window, I could have a full view of the parking lot, so I saw when my sister pulled in. I was watching from my window and realized it was taking them forever to get out of the car. I was wondering what was going on,” Karvoski tells PEOPLE exclusively. Though she had some suspicions, she had no idea what was coming next.
“Once they made it to the hospital room, I saw him in his suit and asked what he was wearing it for. They go to church often, so I thought maybe they had an event after. That’s when he said, ‘I needed to make a good first impression, you know?’ And I lost it laughing,” Karvoski recalls.
And the reason for the delay in the parking lot? “My nephew didn’t want to wrinkle his suit or wear it in the car so he got fully dressed in the parking lot.”
It was essential to Karvoski’s nephew that he make a good impression on the new baby. He wore a full suit, shoes, a watch, and sunglasses to complete the outfit.
“My nephew wanted to hold his cousin immediately. Him and I are very close and FaceTime almost every day since he lives a few hours away from me,” Karvoski shares. “He is the first person I told when I was pregnant, and the first person I told when I went into labor upon his request, and I upheld my promise.”
The suit definitely helped with the first impression, and “the meeting went as I expected.”
“He was thrilled to meet her and immediately asked when he could babysit,” Karvoski shares. “But since he’s an aspiring entrepreneur, he, of course, is always looking for ways to get paid, so I’m sure that was on his mind, too.”
“I had no idea he was going to dress up, but he is a jokester. He loves to shock people and make them laugh, so it doesn’t surprise me that he would capitalize on this special moment to make it even more special,” Karvoski recalls.
“I was confused simply because I didn’t know if it was intentional to meet my daughter, but once I realized it was, I found it hilarious.”
Karvoski posted the video to her TikTok, where it went viral and amassed 24.4 million views. Since Karvoski is an avid content creator, many of her fans and audience picked up on her nephew’s personality and even made predictions about his future occupations.

“The reaction has been incredible,” shares Karvoski. “People are able to catch onto his energy immediately. He loves to make people laugh, loves fashion, and is an aspiring entrepreneur — all of which my audience felt and noticed.”
Karvoski shared advice for those looking to show up as authentically as her nephew did in this moment.
“My advice is be yourself! For such a young man, my nephew knows who he is and has no trouble showing up authentically,” Karvoski shares. “It’s not only one of the things our family loves most about him, but anyone who meets him feels the same.”
