A pair of unlikely “suspects” has stolen the spotlight online after police in Oklahoma shared a lighthearted take on a porch theft — with a canine twist.
On Feb. 2, the Oklahoma City Police Department posted a video to its Facebook page showing two dogs working together to grab an item from a porch and trot away with it, tails wagging and confidence fully intact.
“🚨 Pooch Pirate Alert 🚨,” the department wrote in the caption, setting the tone for the playful post. “Suspects: two four-legged masterminds pulling off a paws and grab heist in broad daylight.”
According to the caption, the dogs appeared to act with “clear intent, flawless teamwork, and zero remorse — just pure tail-wagging confidence.” The department added that the duo “dragged the evidence off-site like pros,” before officers were able to recover the stolen item.
Fortunately, police clarified, the haul wasn’t anything too serious. “It wasn’t ‘Kibble & Bits,’ just drill bits!” the post joked, adding that the thieves were “no bark, all bite.”
The department leaned fully into the fun, listing tongue-in-cheek “charges pending,” including “Conspiracy to Commit Snack Theft,” “Paw-sitively Impersonating Master Thieves” and “Being Fur-ociously Adorable.”
The video quickly gained traction, with commenters chiming in with jokes of their own. Many focused less on the theft and more on the dogs’ apparent teamwork — and their total lack of guilt.
