Olivia Wilde is celebrating her and ex Jason Sudeikis’ son Otis’ 11th birthday.
“This little man is 11 today somehow,” Wilde, 41, wrote via her Instagram Story on Sunday, April 20, alongside a black-and-white snap of her making a kissy face as she gazed down at her infant son.
In another black-and-white photo, Otis was all smiles as he held up his hands. “Happy 11th O man,” Wilde wrote.
“The future is bright,” Wilde captioned a third image, which featured Otis wearing a pair of glasses and a sleeve of watches while donning his PJs.
Wilde and Sudeikis, 49 — who are also parents to 8-year-old daughter Daisy — split in 2020 after a seven year engagement.
“They’ve been separated for months now and there really is no drama. They’re handling this like adults,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “It’s all about coparenting their kids, Daisy and Otis. That’s the priority for them.”
While the pair were initially tight-lipped about their split, the separation became messy in 2022 when Wilde was publicly served with custody documents during her CinemaCon presentation of Don’t Worry Darling.
“Papers were drawn up to establish jurisdiction relating to the children of Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis,” a source exclusively told Us at the time, noting that he didn’t know when the documents would be delivered to her. “He would never condone her being served in such an inappropriate manner.”

Breakfast of champions! Olivia Wilde whipped up a special treat for her son, Otis, to celebrate his 9th trip around the sun. “Happy birthday to my little O,” the Booksmart director, 39, gushed via Instagram Story on Thursday, April 20, sharing a photo of Otis’ birthday breakfast, which included a tower of pancakes surrounded by chocolate chip waffles […]
Later that year, Wilde called the incident “appalling” while reflecting on how Otis and Daisy will be impacted.
“The only people who suffered were my kids, because they’ll have to see that, and they shouldn’t ever have to know that happened,” she told Variety in August 2022. “For me, it was appalling, but the victims were an 8 and 5 year old, and that’s really sad. I chose to become an actress; I willingly walked into the spotlight. But it’s not something my children have asked for. And when my kids are dragged into it, it’s deeply painful.”
The next month, Wilde opened up to Vanity Fair about receiving judgment from the public for her split from the Ted Lasso star — and her then-romance with Harry Styles. (Us confirmed in 2022 that Wilde and Styles, 31, split after nearly two years of dating.)
“I’ve had women judging me for separating from Jason. There are people who feel entitled to hurl horrendous insults at me and my family. Telling me I’m a terrible mother. Threatening me and my kids or saying I should lose my children,” she said in September 2022. “When they are with their father, I trust him to be a great parent. So when they’re not with me, I continue to live my life. But the judgment I’ve seen from people for living my life …”
