Olympian Michelle Kwan‘s skating skills officially run in the family.
In a video shared on Monday, April 28, Kwan revealed that she has an official “ice skater’ in the family, showing her 3-year-old daughter Kalista Belle take her “first ‘real’ steps” on the ice.
In the video, Kwan’s 3-year-old wore protective gear in the form of a helmet and what appeared to be knee pads. Kwan carefully skated alongside her daughter with her arms out, taking her time and making sure she dutifully showed her the ropes. The proud mom noted in the same video that, believe it or not, Kalista’s first steps on ice comes “two years earlier than” her own.
“And so it begins…🥹,” Kwan added in the caption.
With Kwan showing Kalista the ropes, the 3-year-old looked like a natural on the ice mimicking her mom’s movements.
