The 'Giggly Squad' hosts address the drama involving Miller, West Wilson and Amanda Batula — and make clear where their loyalty lies

Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner are standing firmly by their friend Ciara Miller amid the latest Summer House drama.
During the Friday, April 3, episode of their Giggly Squad podcast, the longtime friends addressed the headlines surrounding Miller, her ex West Wilson and her friend Amanda Batula — and made it clear where their loyalty lies.
“Obviously, we’re alive. We see the internet, we know what’s going on,” DeSorbo said. “Ciara is our real friend, in real life. So we have been talking to her, consoling her. We are behind her 100%. We would never capitalize or monetize off of our friend’s heartbreak.”
Berner echoed the sentiment, adding, “We love you Ciara, as the one and only guest that’s ever been on Giggly Squad who's a woman besides a couple cat psychics.”
The comments come after Batula and Wilson confirmed their relationship in a joint statement shared to Instagram Stories, following days of online speculation. The pair noted that their connection “grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship” and acknowledged the situation “has had an impact beyond just us.”

Miller, for her part, appeared to subtly address the situation in a March 31 Instagram post — her first since the news broke — writing, “If you can’t trust your Friends & Neighbors, who can you trust?”
The post featured a clip of Miller on the red carpet at the Your Friends & Neighbors premiere, where she briefly spoke with star Jon Hamm. When the actor asked how she was doing, Miller replied, “I’m good… well, I’ve been better,” before the video cut away.
DeSorbo, 32, and Berner, 34, emphasized that while they support their friend, they won’t speak for her publicly.
“Ciara is a strong, intelligent, capable woman. She will speak her truth when it is her time. I would never speak for her,” DeSorbo said.
The duo also reflected on the strength of their friendship — something they say has always been central to their experience on Summer House.
“We really do know the importance of female friendships,” DeSorbo said, recalling how Berner supported her through a breakup. “We are real friends.”
Berner added that their podcast allows them to be more candid than reality TV sometimes permits, noting that certain moments don’t always make it to air. She also recalled how producers once tried to position her and Miller at odds, but the two ultimately chose friendship over conflict.
Hamm later weighed in on the viral red carpet moment with Miller during an appearance on the March 31 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“I was like, ‘Well, it’s about to get a lot better. I’m here!’” Hamm, 55, joked after repeating Miller's “I’ve been better” remark.
“Team Ciara, for sure, tricky manifestations of behavior there. I’m not so sure how you mentally do the flip flops that are required to make that make sense in your head," Hamm said. “But having just met Ciara, I think she’s a great gal, and she will certainly end up on her feet with all of this nonsense happening."

Wilson and Miller previously dated during season 8 of Summer House in 2023 before splitting that December. Batula, meanwhile, announced her separation from husband and costar Kyle Cooke in January.
DeSorbo and Berner both rose to fame as main cast members on the show, joining in season 3 in 2019. Berner left after season 5 in 2021, while DeSorbo announced her departure following season 9 in 2025.
