Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff’s cause of death has been officially confirmed three weeks after she was found dead in her L.A. home.
On Tuesday, March 25, her death certificate confirmed that she died by suicide at the age of 62 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, TMZ reported.
Per the certificate, a family member had gone to her house to check in on her after they hadn’t heard from her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics on March 5. She has since been cremated.
Pamela shared daughters Taylor and Hayley with her ex-husband David Hasselhoff, who she was married to from 1989 to 2006.
Following the news of her death, the Baywatch star said the family was “deeply saddened” in a statement shared with PEOPLE. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”
Pamela’s daughters Taylor, 34, and Hayley, 32, went on to share touching tributes to their mom on social media in the week after her sudden death, with Taylor calling her late mom “my best friend, my whole heart, my everything ♥️.”
“I’d do anything in the world to hug you again, my forever angel,” she wrote on Instagram as she said the “pain” was “unbearable.”
“I promise to make you proud & celebrate you everyday,” Taylor wrote.
Her sister Hayley also paid tribute as she wrote on her Instagram Stories, “My heart is shattered, yet somehow feels whole knowing you will always be my best friend, my heart and my whole world.”
“This yearning is unlike anything I’ve ever known, but I need you to know that I will love you in every form. I’m choosing to be strong for you to make you proud,” she continued.
“Taylor and I are staying strong, carrying the pride you instilled in us and protecting one another, knowing that the bond you taught us to cherish will always guide us. This unbreakable bond will stay with us forever. We will make you proud, I promise.”
