Paris Hilton knows a thing or two about throwing a party — but her mom, Kathy Hilton, has always been her blueprint.
“My mom would always throw me these elaborate birthday parties,” the “Stars Are Blind” singer, 44, exclusively told Us Weekly. “She would cook so many different types of pasta and have a Barbie on top of the cake that looked like me, it was so cute. She is the queen of tablescapes and making things feel really special and added lots of candles, pink and glitter!”
The House of Wax star gets it from her mama when it comes to throwing a party and recently shared her tips and tricks with Us.
“I love hosting nights in or having friends over while we’re getting ready to go out,” she said. “I like to use all the pink glasses from my collection and I love to add edible glitter and cute drink stirrers just to make things feel a little more special.”
The “Turn It Up” singer has been serving drinks made with the Absolut x Paris Hilton Cosmo Collection cocktail kits she produced in partnership with ReserveBar app. “I love it because it is so easy,” she added “It’s all premixed — you shake it, decorate it and you’re ready for a cute and fun night.”
Paris is also looking forward to bringing her party skills to Coachella again this year, telling Us, “I love having a sliving cosmo at the Absolut House of Cosmo. I’ve been sliving with them for a while now, and it’s so fun to have all my friends out there. We have all these cute activations and photo moments, it’s going to be so cute.”
For fans looking to make their parties a little more like a Hilton soiree, the business mogul suggests glitter — and pasta.

“I love to make my parties [have] very paradise vibes, and that paradise does have a lot of pink and sparkles,” Paris told Us. “I always like to make my sliving lasagna when friends come over. It really is the best version of lasagna I’ve ever had and it looks really impressive when people sit around the table.”
For a sweet treat after dinner, the Simple Life alum shared an unconventional treat she likes to make for herself. “Whenever I’m craving dessert, my favorite thing to do is microwave a bowl of M&Ms,” Paris shared. “I just wait until they’re all melted and I just eat them with a spoon, and it’s just so delicious.”
