Penn Badgley’s family is growing by two!
On Friday Feb. 28, the actor’s wife, Domino Kirke, announced that they are expecting twins.
“Babies #3 and #4 coming this Summer! Talk about a PLOT TWIST! Spontaneous twins are beyond magical. We are stunned. We are in awe. Can’t think of anyone else I’d rather be on this ride with @pennbadgley 👶♥️👶🎢#handsoffthewheel #monoditwins,” Kirke wrote on Instagram.
She included the hashtag “monoditwins,” referencing monochorionic diamniotic twins who are “identical twins who share a placenta (monochorionic) but each have their own inner sac (diamniotic),” per the University of Michigan.

The announcement began with a photo of two photobooth images. The images showed a side view of Kirke’s growing baby bump as Badgley and their 4-year-old son kissed it. The expectant mother is also a parent to son Cassius, from a previous relationship.
In a follow-up photo, Kirke showed a photo of a red heart cake that read, “marry me over & over.” She and Badgley tied the knot in February 2017.
Being that their first child together was born amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Badgley has often referred to him as a “blessing.”
“The great bounty that I got out of it is that our baby … has only been with us. He loves it,” Badgley said during an appearance on the The Jess Cagle Show in October 2021.
“He’s very happy, he’s very, very joyful, and we had the opportunity to be with him in a way that we wouldn’t have,” he continued. “So that is a strange blessing in it all. I am having such a joyful experience as a father … Even being a father in a pandemic has still been a joy somehow.”
Prior to the 4-year-old’s birth, the couple had endured “two miscarriages in a row.”
While Badgley and his wife have often kept their son’s life private, he gave rare insight about him in a February 2023 interview with Access Hollywood.
“He’s talking a lot,” said Bagley. “He says ‘you’ instead of ‘me.’ Like, instead of saying like, ‘I’m hungry’ or like ‘I’m finished,’ he’ll be like, ‘Are you all finished?’ ”

“And I’ll be like, ‘Are you all finished?’ And he’ll be like, ‘Yeah!’ It’s very funny,” he continued.
