“It’s not fair to them or to their families,” Scobell continued.

“Maybe also just stop sending death threats in general. That’s just not cool. Kinda weird I have to say this,” he concluded.

Scobell previously told PEOPLE that it felt “a little bit weird” to return to school after the first season of the Disney+ show premiered.

"When season 1 was coming out, I was on the press tour, and then I came back, and I think going back to school after the press tour was a little bit weird," he said at the time.

The actor shared that he’s been attending the same school since fourth grade, and that he knows “everybody so well.”

Scobell, who was just 13 when he was cast in the show, also told PEOPLE that it would be “really interesting” to go back to school after season 2 was fully released.

The show, based on Rick Riordan’s popular book series, first premiered in 2023, over 10 years after the 2010 movie of the same name starring Logan Lerman, Brandon T. Jackson and Alexandra Daddario. The second season aired from 2025 to January 2026, and the third season is expected later this year.

Scobell stars as the titular character alongside Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood.

The series follows the trio of friends at Camp Half-Blood as they battle Greek Gods and go on dangerous quests.

Season 2 followed Percy as he embarked "on an epic odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his best friend Grover and the one thing that may save the camp — the legendary Golden Fleece."
