Piers Morgan is claiming that he’s the reason for an alleged — and unconfirmed —rift between Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie.
“He has zero relationship with his friends and his family,” Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan told Morgan, 60, while appearing on a recent episode of his Uncensored show.
Callahan brought up a report published by The Sun on Friday, March 28, which alleged that Harry, 40, had “cut off his relationship” with his cousin Eugenie, 35. Morgan then claimed that the rift came because of him.
“Well, that was because of me actually — the Eugenie thing — because she was with me and a group of other people in a pub in London,” he alleged. “I was seen hugging them goodbye, and Harry saw this and went completely ballistic. And I can confirm — breaking news — that this is entirely true.”

By his side! Princess Eugenie acknowledged cousin Prince Harry‘s presence at King Charles III‘s coronation while reflecting on the momentous occasion. “Yesterday meant so much to me, as I’m sure it did to so many watching. Morgan sounded adamant on his show, but a source told Us Weekly that there is no rift between Harry and Eugenie.
“If anything, Eugenie is the only person in contact with him,” the source said.
Us Weekly has reached out to Prince Harry’s team for comment.
The event Morgan was referring to apparently took place in April 2023, when he and singer James Blunt were photographed with Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice. (Morgan has shared some controversial takes regarding Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle over the years.)
“There’s no way to escape Piers,” the same source told Us, noting that he’s constantly “invited to parties.”
After Harry and Meghan, 43, departed the royal family in 2020, they stayed close with Eugenie.
“Eugenie and Harry and Meghan have an unbreakable bond,” a source told Us Weekly exclusively in December 2022. “They’re in regular communication and FaceTime at least once every couple of months with the children.”

Prince Harry‘s relationship with his relatives is complex and complicated. Harry is the youngest son of King Charles III and the late Princess Diana. As children, he and his older brother, Prince William, seemed inseparable, but as they got older, cracks began to form in their relationship. “There’s always been a part of Harry that […]
The insider explained at the time that Eugenie and Meghan were able to form a friendship over their shared experience of motherhood. (Meghan and Harry are parents to son Archie, 5, and daughter Lilibet, 3. Eugenie shares two sons — August, 3, and Ernest, 22 months — with husband Jack Brooksbank.)
“They are sort of an unlikely pair, but remain in contact,” the insider added, noting that Meghan and Eugenie have “stayed friends and remain friends.”
That same year, Us also reported that “peacemaker” Eugenie helped set up Harry and Meghan’s meeting with the late Queen Elizabeth II after they stepped back from their royal duties.
“She’s obviously maintained these good relations with Harry and Meghan, visiting them in California when she was out there and publicly being seen with them,” royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti said of Eugenie at the time. “She’s also said to be close to the queen as well, and that would put her in the perfect position to broker that sort of meeting.”
