A small aircraft crashed into the roof of a house in Cashmere, Wash., on Wednesday, July 30, according to a Chelan County Sheriff’s Office news release.
The four-seater plane, a Cessna 182Q Skylane, was traveling when it hit the roof of the home, which is in line with the Cashmere airport, around 5:30 p.m. The residence is also situated near Tigner Road and Pioneer Avenue, directly adjacent to Cashmere Middle School.
The two aircraft occupants were then transported to Confluence Health Hospital. They were said to be in stable condition as of Thursday, July 31, per the sheriff’s office. The residents of the house were not injured.
The cause of the crash remains unknown, but the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.

Representatives for the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for more information on Thursday.
