Prince George switched up his style for Trooping the Colour 2025.
On June 14, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s 11-year-old son arrived with his family at King Charles’ official birthday parade, where he rocked a new haircut.
His new cropped style marked a change from his last public appearance in May at the VE Day 80th anniversary celebration.
To complete the look, George’s hair was slicked neatly into place, likely with a touch of product to keep it tidy for the ride. He traveled to the parade ground in the Ascot Landau carriage alongside his mom, sister Princess Charlotte, 10, and younger brother Prince Louis, 7.
While Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte twinned in aqua for the military march honoring the King’s official birthday as sovereign, the boys in the Wales family had a matching moment of their own. Prince George and Princes Louis both sported red ties, which seemed to be just the same shade as the scarlet tunic of Prince William’s Welsh Guards uniform.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are known to match their fashion with their children at major public events to create a sense of cohesion, a tradition they continued at Trooping on Saturday.
Princess Kate and her kids were all smiles as they made their way to Horse Guards Parade, where cameras captured Louis looking at George with love. The clear affection called back to a fun moment at the VE Day commemorations on May 5, where Prince Louis copied Prince George fixing his hair!
In a hilarious snippet shared by the Daily Mail, George pushed his hair back in place to make it stay in the windy weather. Watching closely, Louis copied the same move — either inspired by his brother or playfully imitating him!

While Prince George’s hair stayed in place after the subtle brush, Prince Louis didn’t have the same luck, and he blew his bangs back in an exaggerated way after they flopped down again over his forehead.
The sweet scene was an intimate glimpse of the tight bond the royal brothers share, and one sure to be on display at Trooping the Colour today.
