Queen of Versailles’ Jackie Siegel’s Sister Dead From Overdose 3 Days After Death of Husband

Days after losing her husband, Queen of Versailles star Jackie Siegel is mourning the death of her sister, Jessica Mallery. She was 43.

“As I mourn the profound loss of my beloved husband David Siegel, who passed away on April 5 at the age of 89, my world was shattered again yesterday by the unexpected loss of my beautiful sister, Jessica Mallery, 43,” read a statement from Jackie, 59, shared via her nonprofit, the Victoria’s Voice Foundation’s official Instagram page on Tuesday, April 8. “To a scourge we as a family sadly know too well – accidental drug overdose.”

Jackie explained that her foundation will “continue to raise awareness and advocate every single day” for those struggling with substance abuse in honor of Mallery. (Victoria’s Voice Foundation was created in honor of Jackie and David’s late daughter, Victoria, who died in June 2015 due to a drug overdose.)

“Our work at Victoria’s Voice remains more critical than ever, and in her memory, we will until this form of grief is a distant memory in this country,” her statement continued. “Our family appreciates everyone’s love, support and prayers, and we ask for privacy during this extremely difficult time.”

From filmmakers to artists, Hollywood lost several stars in 2025. News broke on January 4 that Aubrey Plaza’s estranged husband, Jeff Baena, died one day earlier at the age of 47. Per medical examiner records viewed by Us Weekly, Baena died by suicide. “This is an unimaginable tragedy,” Plaza’s rep said in a statement to […]

Jackie shared that her sister’s organs will be “donated to help others within” the community, per the request of the family. The family also asked those seeking to honor Mallery’s memory to consider donating to the Victoria’s Voice Foundation in lieu of flowers.

The news of Mallery’s death comes three days after Jackie’s husband David Siegel died at age 89.

“I wanted to personally reach out and let you know that my husband, David Alan Siegel, passed away this morning,” Jackie wrote via Instagram on Saturday, April 5. “I was lucky enough to share twenty-five wonderful years with David, and together we raised eight incredible children. His life and legacy live on through them all.”

Jackie and David tied the knot in 2000. In addition to Victoria, the couple shared children Daniel, Debbie, Drew, David, Jordan, Jacqueline and Jonquil.

“To say we are devastated is an understatement. But I find comfort in knowing that Victoria was there to greet him — the first thing he heard was ‘Dad,’ followed by a big hug,” the reality star continued. “And of course, Steven is there too. That thought brings me so much peace.”

Jackie shared that she decided to publicly announce David’s death since many fans got to know the Westgate Resorts on their 2012 documentary Queen of Versailles, which is also Jackie’s nickname due to the couple’s home which is inspired by the iconic French estate of the same name.

“I know you all loved him too, which is why I wanted to share this with you,” Jackie wrote in her social media tribute. “Thank you for your love and support during this difficult time. It means the world to us.”
