Her husband, John Cusimano, shared a heartfelt message for her on Instagram
“Happy birthday to @rachaelray, my forever love and forever home, wherever we may be,” he wrote
Rachael Ray’s husband, John Cusimano, celebrated her 57th birthday with a fitting tribute to the culinary star.
On Monday, Aug. 25, Cusimano shared a black-and-white image of the celebrity cook and television host playfully posing with a fork and a mouthful of spaghetti.
“Happy birthday to @rachaelray, my forever love and forever home, wherever we may be,” read text over the Instagram photo.
Ray responded by “liking” the post and resharing it on her Instagram Stories.
Just last week, the Meals in Minutes host marked her husband’s birthday on Aug. 19 with a heartfelt message of her own.
Ray posted several photos of the couple together and with Bella, the dog they adopted in 2020.
“When you know, you know,” Ray began the caption for her husband, who turned 58.
“Happy Birthday to John Cusimano,” she added. “Love of my life and the most Wonderful daddy of Bella.”
”We love you!” Ray concluded the post.
The couple, who tied the knot in Italy in September 2005, have been married for nearly 20 years. They renewed their vows a decade later in the same Tuscan castle where they first married.
Last fall, Ray opened up about why she and Cusimano are well matched during an episode of her podcast, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead.
“You know, [John is] a lawyer and a musician,” Ray said. “I’m not a musician. I’m certainly no lawyer. I hate reading legal documents and official stuff, but we balance each other in a weird way. We allow each other to be open to different worlds.”
Ray also credited Cusimano as having been “essential” to her professional success.
“I love my husband, John, and John works with me and has built our business and our brand together, but we agreed in concept about service to community, service to the world, service to animals, to children,” she said.
She continued, “It was very important to me that I marry him because I thought this person could be a true partner in what I believe in and helping people and building not a business, but a community.”
