RHOSLC’s Bronwyn Newport Swaps Christian Dior for Christian Siriano at 2025 SAG Awards Afterparty

A fashion emergency couldn’t stop Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Bronwyn Newport from lighting up the 2025 SAG Awards.

After the 2025 SAG Awards on Sunday, Feb. 23, the Bravo star, 39, revealed her original Christian Siriano afterparty look encountered a “shipping mishap” ahead of the Sunday celebrations.

Newport posted to Instagram sharing that the original Siriano design she planned to wear got stuck with FedEx, but luckily stylist Karla Welch had a second on hand that Newport could get “last minute in LA!”

“Christian’s team worked so hard to custom make me a look fresh off his runway last week and it’s so gorgeous I can’t wait to repurpose it this weekend for another event but was so lucky to still end up in one of my fav guy’s creations,” she wrote.

Newport’s second look was from the designer’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, which he debuted at New York Fashion Week on Thursday, Feb. 6. The black strapless gown, with a wide a-line skirt, included intricate silver stitching that spiraled all over the gown.

Newport and Siriano have previously commented on their working relationship and, in October 2024, told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live! that Newport “is like my No. 1 customer.”

“[She] has been shopping, everyone, for years and spends real money. We make her literally couture, all of her confessionals are Siriano pieces that she bought years ago,” the Project Runway alum spilled of the new RHOSLC cast member.

Before the afterparty, Newport joined the red carpet as PEOPLE’s fashion correspondent. On the carpet — and for the ceremony — she wore a $30,000 Dior design.

Newport donned a 1968 Dior Haute Couture vintage dress, which she told PEOPLE was “originally created for one of the most successful figures in Latin American cinema, actress and style icon Maria Felix.”

“I found the dress through Timeless Vixen, an iconic L.A. store that specializes in vintage, haute couture and museum-quality pieces. I picked it up just before the awards show after searching for a piece of this caliber and historical importance since the beginnings of my discussions to come on as PEOPLE’s Fashion Expert!” Newport told PEOPLE of the “priceless” find.

“The look is so ‘Bronwyn’ because I am not known for my subtlety! I love color, texture and whimsy! I also love a good rewear and was honored to be in such a major moment of fashion history,” she added. “To own a dress of a Hollywood and sartorial legend and get to wear it on the SAG red carpet is so unbelievably special.”

She accessorized with vintage ’80s Tiffany & Co. earrings and a $7,295 Judith Leiber clutch shaped like an ice skate to hold her lip gloss. As well as her “emotional support” hair tie and a “Protect Trans Youth” pin she got on the carpet.
