- Robert Pattinson is sharing an update on whether or not he stills smells like crayons
- The Dior ambassador previously told a reporter, “Lots of people tell me I smell like a crayon”
- “It’s very strange,” he said during his update about his body’s scent
Robert Pattinson knows all about his signature odor.
In a new interview with GQ, the Die My Love actor, 39, professed his love for Dior Homme Intense as he continues his work as a brand ambassador for the fragrance, while also discussing his own personal scent.
When asked about a February 2020 interview with Allure in which he previously said, “Lots of people tell me I smell like a crayon,” he replied, “I think that something has changed.”
“My body chemistry has changed. It’s very strange. But I 100% used to smell exactly like a crayon,” Pattinson told GQ, adding that it was a very “crayon-y one.”
“Before that, it was quite a kind of vicious, vicious scent,” the Twilight star said. “And then something, I think, when it became crayon-y, it was like something died. I guess the seven-year cycle…. Maybe I was smelling of crayons when one self died, and when a new self was born, it was less scented.”
Pattinson, who welcomed his first child with his fiancée Suki Waterhouse in March 2024, has apparently passed down that trait to his baby girl.
While speaking with Vogue in an interview published in January 2025, the Odyssey actor said the couple’s kid had her own, unique smell.
“I remember people used to be like, ‘Oh, don’t you like the smell of babies, but I thought they were just smelling the baby powder,” the actor told the outlet with a laugh. “But then I had a baby, and I was like ‘my baby smells incredible.'”
He and Waterhouse, 34, have not publicly disclosed their daughter’s name. The couple began dating in 2018, announced their engagement in December 2023.
Pattison continued, sharing that his favorite thing about his daughter’s smell was the fact that “there’s something there” that helps him “identify her.”
“She doesn’t smell like other babies,” he added.
Meanwhile, now that his baby girl is a bit older, the Batman Part II star has been able to bond with her in new ways, such as seeing her famous father’s films.

“Oh, she has seen so many of them already,” he told GQ in Friday’s interview about his 22-month-old.
“If I’m not getting any respect, I’ll be like, ‘Who’s this? Who’s that on the screen?’ And she’s like…[blank stare]. And I’m like, ‘It begins with a D! Ends with a Y!'” Pattison said. “She’s watching Mickey-17.”
