Ryan Seacrest is proving that when he falls, he gets right back up!
The host, 50, took a tumble on a recent episode of Wheel of Fortune after a contestant guessed the correct answer in the final seconds of the bonus round and got overly excited. Cameras captured the hilarious moment, which began with player Daniel solving a tough category.
“Do your best, it’s living things,” Seacrest told Daniel, who only had three out of seven letters for the word. “You have 10 seconds, good luck.”
With just a few seconds left on the clock, Daniel shouted: “Guppies?”
“Yes! You got it!” Seacrest replied, surprised.
It was then that Daniel jumped up and down and reached out to Seacrest for a hug when things went down — literally.
“Oh my gosh,” Daniel exclaimed, but Seacrest assured him, “I’m good. I’m good.”
The narrator quipped, “Daniel, easy on our host,” before revealing that he won $40,000.
Seacrest playfully stepped away from Daniel, pretending to be afraid as the two laughed.
“It’s a total of $71,950,” Seacrest told the winner. “Congratulations, that’s amazing,”
He then joked to his co-host Vanna White, “Vanna, you’ll have to take over,” while fake limping.
“How did you do that in the last second?” he went on to ask.
“Push you over or solve the puzzle?” Daniel teased.
“Solve the puzzle!” Seacrest replied, to which Daniel explained, “I don’t know. I was looking up at the used letter board and I saw ‘P’ and it just popped into my head.”
“You did great,” Seacrest assured him. “Congratulations.”
Daniel continued to apologize profusely, but Seacrest said: “Don’t worry — I loved it!”
“Throw me over, tackle me, I’m totally fine with it,” the teaser for the clip also showed Seacrest say.

In September 2024, Seacrest took over as host of Wheel of Fortune following Pat Sajak’s retirement after 40 years on the show. Kicking off his first episode, Seacrest admitted that this was “a dream job.”
“Welcome to Wheel of Fortune. I am your host, Ryan Seacrest,” he began. “I still can’t believe my luck being here with you tonight to continue this legacy of this incredible show with all of you and of course, my good friend, Vanna White.”
“I’ve been a fan of this show since I was a kid, watching in Atlanta with my family, and I know how special it is that Wheel has been in your living rooms for the past 40 years, and I’m just so grateful to be invited in,” he gushed. “I also know I’ve got some very big shoes to fill, so let’s play Wheel of Fortune!”
Wheel of Fortune airs weeknights on (check local listings).
