Sami Sheen Reveals She’s Removing Her Breast Implants Due to the ‘Weirdest Symptoms’ Making Her ‘Sick’

Sami Sheen is gearing up to undergo plastic surgery. This time, it’s to remove her breast implants.

On Monday, June 23, the OnlyFans star revealed that she is in the process of searching for a Los Angeles-based surgeon who can remove her breast implants, despite just getting them done in 2022.

“I’ve been experiencing health issues for nearly 2 years now with the weirdest symptoms and finally discovered that I have breast implant illness,” she wrote in her Instagram Stories. “Idk how I haven’t figured this out sooner but i’m so glad to finally have an answer. I’m hoping to get them removed ASAP so I can start feeling better. Pls lmk if you know of any good explant surgeons near LA.”

In the following post in her Instagram Stories, Sheen — whose parents are actors Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen — shared an image of herself in a bikini before getting her breast implants and explained that she has some fears about going back to her pre-surgery chest size.

“It’s definitely going to be hard going back to this size, not only physically but mentally. I don’t want to at all but I know i’ll feel so much better once they are out, so I guess it’s worth it,” she said, noting her experience with what she believes to be breast implant illness also resulted in the quality of her hair being impacted.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, breast implant illness, or “BII,” describes the symptoms that clinicians refer to when people report having concerns after reconstruction or augmentation with breast implants. Some of the symptoms include fatigue, brain fog, joint and muscle pains, weight fluctuations, depression, anxiety and hair loss.

“BII often mimics certain autoimmune diseases, but I’m certain it’s my implants because these symptoms started almost immediately after getting them done,” the social media star continued in the snaps.

Sheen explained that in addition to the BII symptoms listed by the FDA, she also experiences allergies, vertigo, rashes, mood swings, dry eyes, acne, headaches and temperature sensitivities.

The FDA notes that BII is “not recognized as a formal medical diagnosis and there are no specific tests or recognized criteria to define or characterize it.” The OnlyFans star added that not everyone with implants experiences BII.

“I think I just got super unlucky, but I’m also very grateful that I am fortunate enough to get them removed. I feel awful for all the women that experience this and are stuck with them, cause this illness is no joke,” she concluded her post. “These things are a pain in the ass to deal with. Not worth it at all, but you live and you learn.”

The final snap in Sheen’s Instagram Stories provided a fan with the exact implants — the Natrelle Inspira SoftTouch Breast Implants in 345cc and 365cc — that she got.

While BII is not recognized as an official illness, Breastcancer.org explains that “removing the implants is the most effective treatment for improving symptoms in the long term.” Explant surgery also has the possibility to “completely resolve the breast implant illness symptoms.”

Sheen’s comments come on the heels of her talking about her breast augmentation while detailing every procedure she’s undergone in an April 6 TikTok video.

In the clip, she said she’d actually like to have a bigger chest with her follow-up breast augmentation. “When the time comes to get them redone, I’m definitely going bigger, and I think I’m going to go over the muscle so they look a little more natural,” she said.
