Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s Son James Wilkie Makes TV Debut with Dad

There’s a new onscreen family reunion in the works.

James Wilkie Broderick, eldest of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s three children, will star alongside his dad in the Feb. 20 episode of CBS’ Elsbeth.  While this debut will mark the Brodericks’ first time working together, don’t expect them to follow the father-son dynamic onscreen.

As for what to expect in the Good Wife spinoff’s season two episode, Matthew, 62, will play as Lawrence Grey, a corrupt chief consultant at Outmatch Educational Consulting known for getting Manhattan’s most elite kids into their “prep school and college of choice,” per People. Grey resorts to murderous tactics when his position is threatened, and his top trainer at the company—played by James’ character Clay—is left to clean his boss’ mess.

And James, 22, is more than ready to take on this villainous role alongside his dad. “What a thrill it was to work side by side with my dad, who also happens to be my favorite actor!” he told People on Jan. 30. “The whole experience of working on Elsbeth was beyond exciting and I am very grateful to the producers for giving me this opportunity.”
