Chris Evans is leaving little to the imagination in his new movie, Honey Don’t!
Despite playing a man of the cloth in the new project, which also stars Margaret Qualley, Charlie Day, and Aubrey Plaza, Evans, 44, strips down to his jock strap in one particularly revealing scene in the dark detective caper.
While changing out of his cassock, the Fantastic Four actor’s character, Reverend Drew Devlin, can be seen in the teeny tiny underwear in a clip shared by streamer Peacock on TikTok.
Honey Don’t! is about Honey O’Donahue (Qualley), a “small-town private investigator, who delves into a series of strange deaths tied to a mysterious church,” according to an IMDb synopsis.
Per the official Cannes website, Evans’ character is a “charismatic cult guru,” while the L.A. Times describes Devlin as an “oily,” and the movie itself a, “sleazy crime caper.”
Despite his obvious commitment to the project, Avengers star Evans was forced to miss the movie’s world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 23, explaining on his Instagram Stories that he was otherwise engaged at his mom, Lisa’s, 70th birthday.
“I wish I could’ve been with my incredible cast and filmmakers at Cannes,” he wrote on May 25, “but it was my mother’s 70th birthday and there are some things you just can’t miss! Congrats, everyone!!”
But Lisa isn’t the only lady in Evans’ life. He wed Portuguese actress Alba Baptista in September 2023 at a private estate in Massachusetts. And in a June interview, the Materialists star shared some details about his proposal and how practice almost made perfect when the moment finally came to pop the question.

“Maybe I shouldn’t even be saying this. I proposed to my now-wife in Portuguese — she’s Portuguese,” he explained to wedding website The Knot at the New York City premiere of A24’s Materialists on June 7.
“So I learned how to say, ‘Will you marry me?’ in Portuguese. And I had practiced all week.” He went on to explain that he had “practiced it so much” that he almost “let the cat out of the bag” by blurting it out at the wrong time, adding that he was “really nervous.”
“I actually think I screwed it up,” he said of the moment he finally asked Baptista to be his wife. “But I still know it!”
Evans and Baptista made their red carpet debut in 2024 at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, two years after they were first publicly linked, and the largely private actor alluded to his hopes of becoming a father during a November 2024 interview with Access Hollywood.
“The title of dad is an exciting one,” he said, adding that he’d want to be a “superhero” dad.
