Fire Country is heating up for season 5.

Creator and star Max Thieriot announced on Instagram in June 2026 that the CBS drama had started production on its next installment — and fans have continued to catch glimpses of what’s happening in Edgewater.

The season 5 premiere, titled “Founders’ Day,” will pick up in the aftermath of the flood that struck the town in the season 4 finale. According to the official description, the episode will see a catastrophic sinkhole open beneath Main Street during Edgewater’s annual Founders’ Day festival, leaving Station 42 to rescue residents trapped underground.

While fans will have to wait until the show returns on Friday, Oct. 9 to see how the disaster unfolds, Thieriot and his costars have offered a few peeks from the set.

Here are three behind-the-scenes photos from Fire Country season 5.

On June 23, the Fire Country lead posted an Instagram photo dressed as his character Bode Leone and enjoying a well-earned treat.

“Smoothie break 😘,” Theiriot captioned a pic of himself sitting on the edge of a fire truck. “@firesheriffcbs season 5 baby!”

He shared more glimpses from the Vancouver, Canada, set on his Instagram Stories, including videos trading jokes with costar Jules Latimer and a potential tease about what the crew was filming.

“We’re back on set. Fire Country Season 5,” he said in the clip, per TV Insider. “It’s beautiful up here right now in Vancouver. The weather’s awesome. No rain yet. Looks like there might be a fire.”

Fans got another look at season 5 production the next day when Latimer shared an Instagram Reel of her first moments back on set.

The lighthearted video featured clips from the Fire Country cast and crew repeating, “Hi, I’m Jules Latimer, and it’s my first day” in funny voices.

“We back baby!! @firesheriffcbs coming soooooooon!!” she captioned the video with her costars, whom she previously described as her “chosen family.”

“It’s very on par with what I’ve experienced in my regular life, where I have a hodgepodge of family,” she told OUT in May 2026. “Everyone looks different, everyone has a different background, and yet we’re able to come together and support each other.”

Nearly a week after Theiriot and Latimer, Diane Farr posted an Instagram Reel from her first day back on set for season 5.

“First day of school pics never get old,” she wrote alongside a montage, which featured selfies with her uniform and her on-screen crew. “Even at 56.”

Farr has made Vancouver something of a second home while filming the CBS drama, sharing several photos of her paddleboarding and exploring nature with Sheriff Country stars Matt Lauria and newcomer Ian Quinlan.

After moving out of Los Angeles in 2026, the actress started splitting her time between rural Washington, Spain and Vancouver, where Fire Country shoots. She told Fox News that she’s in Vancouver “for half of the year.”

“My third act is gonna look like six months of the year in Spain and six months of the year in Vancouver, because it’s really like how to get the [joie de vivre],” Farr added during the August 2026 interview. “It’s how to live the most.”
